Is it possible to pause or delay sirius activation?
My car will hopefully arrive in the next month but will go straight into hibernation. Is it possible to pause or delay the free 6 month subscription for when I bring the car out in the spring?

A few years ago I was able to put my subscription on a seasonal type hold and they had it turned back on automatically in the spring. I tried to just cancel it, but they probably didn't want to lose me as a customer so they threw that option at me. It should work for the trial too. Give them a call when you're ready!

I didn't really need it until spring either, but had no choice, it was already activated when I picked up the car last month. So make sure the dealer knows well in advance (tell them when you tell them "no dealer stickers etc. on the car"), presuming it's not automatically activated.

Yep...have the dealer do it or you can call them and have it put on hold. I have done it several times....including right now. The free time should run just like the paid times do. Call SIRIUS now and see what they say.

Thanks guys. I was at a local dealer today and was told that it is automatically activated as soon as the vehicle is sold. I wouldn't mind if I could transfer it to my truck for 6 months. I'll call my dealer in a week our two and see what they say, and call sirius before I pick up the car and try to sort this out

Which model are you waiting on? If you haven't done so yet, I suggest contacting SiriusXM and explaining your situation. Here's their info:

I am waiting on a 2013 gt. I have the vin info already as well as the ESN for my Fx4. I was told that all the ESN's are vin specific and that this may not yet be available for my Mustang.

Grabber Blue is a great color. My wife's 2011 Mustang is GB. However, GHIG is best. Below are some photos of my new stang, when it arrived yesterday. She's home now.
Maybe it's not too late to change your color.

I had the same concern when I bought my car...
I tried calling Sirius, Ford Customer service, my dealer and no luck.
Apparently the get automatically activated once the VIN is declared sold from Ford and Sirius told me that it's impossible to push out a free subscription.
If you ever succeed to push yours, let me know.
Good luck...

Thanks Dineau. I'll let you know if I have any luck. So far no response from Sirius on my inquiry. Not the best way to try to grow your customer base IMO.
