Possible Boss M-plate spotted
Well, I'm with you, Overboost. Everything points to what we expect the Boss to looks like, externally at least (minus the Boss graphics which I suspect will be an option).
The only downside, if you can call it that, is that it'll be relatively easy to turn a GT into a Boss tribute, with off the shelf parts.
Can't wait to know what BHP the final car will run

Ford has the appearance package ready for the Boss 302 - all they have to do is look to the Boss 302R. I'm more concerned the Boss brings the performance goods - more HP, close ratio 6 spd, big brakes, outstanding suspension and no-frills interior in a lighter package than the GT.
If I had to guess I would say this car started life as a GT/CS (hence no 5.0 badges) and has had some GT500 parts added like the brakes, wheels and tires, splitter, exhaust, perhaps suspension bits, etc. Might have even started out as a base GT and had a combination of GT/CS and GT500 parts thrown at it. Could be a test mule or just some engineer's toy.
I'm hoping more official info leaks on this in the next few months. That would help make up my mind even more.
Either way, if you want it to look like this, that's not a problem, you just won't have the giddyup that the Boss will provide. I had planned on the GT500 rear and CS front splitter with the brake duct kit.

It's not just giddyup... cause even a coyote can make power.
Its the whole package... without buying one, you can't make one.
I really wish I had money to burn on this kinda thing right now.
That's why I'm still cautious of jumping on the GT. I think there's gonna be some serious advantages to going with the Boss. That's why I hope someone get's a bit more loose lipped and spills more definitive info in the coming month or so.
Yellow Blaze and Medium Gold Metallic

Well, I hope someone's lips are loose soon as I love all the rumour. I miss the months running up to the launch of the '10.....searching the internet for spyshots.....snippets of info.....
its tempting to click the subscribe button....if this is THE prototype Boss then im kinda disapointed with how it barely looks any different from the CS. then again if this is a prototype then that means that the CS front end arent finalized for production.
Let's not forget, the '69 and '70 Boss 302's only really had 3 visual differences from a regular Mustang:
1.) Stripes
2.) Shaker Hood (on most)
3.) Magnum 500 wheels (on most)
The Boss 429's were even less in-your-face, but much more potent:
1.) Subtle "Boss 429" lettering, no stripes
2.) More subtle hood scoop than the Shaker
3.) Magnum 500 wheels
The Bosses of the past were more go than show, even though the stripes on the 302's were rather flashy. It could very well be that the new Boss will be a slightly physically altered GT with maybe new wheels and a stripe package, but several power and handling improvements. I wouldn't get too worried about this possible M-plate prototype. Good things will be included in the new Boss, even if it's not significantly different visually.

I think the strut brace will have something more like the Bullitt did with the FR logo and the vin/serial # on it. That was a feature a lot of owners liked. I also expect more dress up under the hood. Maybe a variation of the stock engine cover for clearance of the IM through it.
I see both Autoblog and Insideline have a story about the Boss being brought up on stage at the dealers meeting. Let's hope that we see the production trim soon (or maybe we already have
).

Maybe?
