Pony Pack or MCA Pack?? Rear decklid appliqué

If you go to:

http://mustangs.about.com/od/2011/ig/2011-Pony-Package/

You'll see there's the black decklid plate at the rear. But if you goto www.fordvehicles.com and you add the pony pack, your car just has the plain rear panel. Only the MCA package gives it black decklid on the Ford site.

Considering the MCA grille is HELLA cooler than the Pony Pack one, this might be the final straw in getting me to change my order from pony pack to MCA if the pony pack doesn't have the black rear decklid appliqué...

Anyone??

If a decklid is the dealbreaker you realize you can get one in the aftermarket yes?

The magnetic matte finish:

Plastic high gloss:

Flush:

Or if you want the exact match used outta Ford.

It's Part Number: AR3Z-6342528-E
Just google that.

Thanks for the info.

But you think the MCA grille is sexier, ya?

MCA and GT/CS are the only Mustangs with the satin black between the tail lights.

You can get the Assessory ribbed black plastic panel, but it has that "tacked on" look (probably because it is) and you loose the concave shape borrowed from the 69 Mustang ... add the satin black to this concave area and it reminds me of a '69 Boss 302.

This trunk lid treatment, the Sterling Gray Wheels (don't like the polished look), and the grill are why I chose the MCA over the Pony Package.

I think the MCA package could maybe be even better yet if Ford would have done the grill in plain black plastic ('70 Mustang look) instead of painted Dark Stainless, but I'll save final judgement on this until after I actually see it !!

Are they using the 'black chrome'? I think that would look really good with some colors (white/black/sterling), maybe not so much with others. Also probably depends on the wheels. I don't care for a lot of the wheels offered because they don't seem to 'tie in' to the rest of the exterior finishes. In fact, I'm not enamored with the polished aluminum wheels on my Pony package, but at least they kinda go with the chrome grille.

It's hard to tell in pictures, but I'm hoping ther "Dark Stainless Painted" Grill closely matches the "Sterling Grey Painted" Wheels. If not, it would have made more sence to me if they painted both one color or the other.

In pics, the MCA & GT/CS grills look pretty much the same to me however the GT/CS grill supposedly has a "Chrome Billet" finish. I think you should be able to tell the difference between "Chrome" and "Dark Stainless" even in a picture so do the grills really have different finishes or not ??

We'll just have to wait and see.
