Poking Around - Debating Purchase

Poking Around - Debating Purchase
So I figured I would stop and check in - thinking about picking up a 2011 5.0 GT.
Looking at Black/Saddle premium, HID's, Elec. pack, Security pack, 3.55 axle. I would get the Brembo pack, but I hate the wheels and would wind up swapping them out anyway...
Currently driving an Audi lease that I cant stand - and I'm just over a year into it. I have no confidence in the vehicle with the number of problems I've had with it. I have a good chunk of negative equity in it from a previous early lease trade-in so here it goes...
Few questions:
How is Ford with trade ins of leases where there is a negative balance? Will they trade in and roll trade in cost into the new purchase?
I'm coming from the European car scene (BMW 335, Audi a4, etc) - how does the new mustang compare to luxury euro vehicles as to their build quality, mechanical problems, etc?
Whats everyone's suggestion on getting the best deal with trade in, etc. I can put up to $10k down, but don't want to get ripped off like I have in the past.
Thanks, and hopefully I get to bask in V8 glory soon.

I can tell you a lot of guys seem to be paying between invoice to $500 over. When you have a trade, it definitely makes it more complicated to determine what you really pay.
There has been several comparisons (+) to BMW, but what your really getting is a true piece of quality "Americana". I've had a Jag. and some Swedish Iron. They don't know how to "have fun". A Mustang is FUN! (I'm 58) And, you can personalize a Mustang.
As for resale--Everything takes a hit on resale. But remember-- A ton of people want a Mustang at some point in their life.

That's why you negotiate the price for the car first and foremost and only THEN announce your intention to trade. It keeps it all clear.

Yeah, don't tell em your intentions to trade in. Get the price first. And if you can't get close to invoice, go somewhere else or get an X-plan pin (if you join Mustang Club of America you can get one).

Actually, as luck would have it, I went into a local dealer, got what I was expecting on the trade in, and negotiated a lease with intention to by out of a 2010 GT500 - walked away a happy man with a grin from ear to ear.
Ill post up pictures a bit later - running out to dinner with the wife.

JD Powers 2010 Vehicle Dependability Report
Some of the rankings (1 being best): Lincoln #2, Mercury #5, Ford #8, Mercedes-Benz #9, Acura #10, Infiniti #13, BMW #17, Chevrolet #24, Nissan #25, Audi #26, Dodge #27, Mitsubishi #31, Volkswagen #34, Suzuki and Land Rover round out the very bottom.
Thus if you're coming from an Audi (#26) to a Ford #8, you should see a noticeable improvement based on the JD Powers study. Congrats on your new Mustang!! It's beautiful!!
