Plastidip Crazy..

I recently started using plastidip on a friends suggestion and... Im in love with it. I cannot stop using it and have had to force myself not to plastidip my entire car (its ok, I won't). Anyways I plastidipped my stock rims because I had some curb rash and wasn't loving the chrome recently. I did the badges too. Both are pretty crap jobs since I did them at night but I'm planning on redoing them soon. Im thinking about plastidiping the front mustang emblem white but am not sure..

Oh and I guess ill introduce y'all to the car since I don't think I've shared any photos. This is a pretty old picture and the car is dirty, I guess ill upload a new one soon.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if anyone has plastidipped the chrome Pony Package wheels? I'm curious how they would come out.

Looks good, did you remove the 5.0 emblem or spray it on the car? How did you do the wheels and what color is that? Looks good on the SGM. Nice job.

Tire shine on the tire is supposed to work very well at allowing you to peel the plastidip off the tires from over spray. Anything with good edges can be spray and then have the over spray removed without removing the plastidip from the badge or taillight what have you.

Yeah, I don't think I would spray the badges while on the car. It does look good though.

I actually did spray the badges while on the car, I had a friend help me and it was pretty easy. We taped a square windows around the badge and sprayed away. Once its dry all you have to do lift the edge of the square and it removes the excess around the badge. You then carefully remove inside the 0 and the dot.

I sprayed with the emblem on the car. The wheels I did with them still on the car. I wrapped trash bags around the brakes and stuff, and on the edges of the tires I stuck notecards in between the tire and the rim. Although as Brandon said you can also use tireshine. I taped off the wheel nuts. Then I just started spraying even layers. The mustang emblem inside I just peeled the plastidip off of. This is regular black plastidip without any glossifier or anything like that.

I highly recommend it. If you don't like it you can peel it right off! There's no going wrong and the color/finish choices are endless.

Just one tip....don't put a thin layer and try to peel it. Even if u don't like do thick layer then it peels so much better.

Agreed, the satisfaction of it peeling in a huge snakeskin like coat is great. I'm planning on doing the mustang emblem white to match the stripes and deciding on if I want to take it off or leave it on.

I have one of the magnetic deck lid panels. I could Plasti Dip it and toss the mag panel.

Whats the best/cheapest place to buy this stuff? Maybe I'll pick some up and do my emblems. I'm not a fan of chrome, black is better (5.0's, pony up front, rear faux gas...)

Home depot or Lowes, think they are both about 5 bucks a can.

Ahh you saw that episode of Roadkill also? Doesn't make much more power though, a real blower or turbo is just as expensive.
