Pictures of my lastest few mods!

All right, I just couldn't stand it, not posting any pics of my latest few mods, as I am extremely happy with them.

The modifications include the following:
Steeda CAI + Tune
Steeda Ultralite Lowering Springs
Steeda Engraved Hood Struts

All the installs were done at Steeda in Pompano Beach, Florida. Gus (SteedaGus) is outstanding and takes the meaning of customer service to the next level. The entire Steeda team is professional, friendly and courteous. The technicians take great pride in their work and profession. I had many questions for Gus before I brought my car to him, and he always took the time to promptly answer my questions by e-mail.

The hood struts are just an awesome looking accessories and I don't have to fumble with the hood prop any longer. The CAI and Tune makes the 5.0 screaming now... I thought it was wicked before, but now, you can actually hear that beast breath. The lowering springs do not sacrifice ride quality at all (it is my daily driver), so that was very important to me. However the handling will be greatly improved and so is the looks and the stance... exactly what I wanted. Couldn't be happier with the products and the entire team of Steeda!

looks freakin awesome- love the struts to hold the hood up- hate the prop rod.

changing the springs out does it require a alignment after?

The ride and ride quality is awesome! Not much firmer than stock setup. However, the handling feels so much more connected. It also took out the heavy nose dive during breaking and "bowing" during heavy acceleration.

I did get the Steeda Adjustable Panhard Bar installed as well... almost forgot about it. And yes, you will need an alignment after the spring/panhard bar install, which was taken care of as well.

Beautiful. I would lower my V-6 but they are too many dips and hills in Tennessee

Thanks guys... my "dream" car is coming along nice!

Yes, the hood struts perform very nicely, easy up and down. Once you unlatch the hood, it's just an easy little push up and the hood will rise. It's easy to lower the hood as well... much nicer than the good 'ol rod.

I asked Gus the same question about shocks and struts, as I was on the edge about it as well, and relied on his recommendations. As the car is brand new (now 2000+ miles), he said that the stock shocks/struts would be fine. If the car would have been an 3-4 years old, yes, the definitely would recommend changing the shocks/struts as well. Now keep in mind that I am not taking the car to the track (yet... LOL). It is my daily driver and enjoy cruising and day trips... The springs are absolutely awesome... not too firm, not too soft, almost identical to the Brembo stock setup, yet it feels you have more control over the vehicle. As I mentioned before, it definitely reduces the nose dive and the "bowing" under heavy breaking/acceleration. Just what I was looking for...

Next on the list will be the exhaust... but I'm still doing some more research on that... and save up some more mighty $$$... LOL

In your sig it says you have a GT500 wing. Did you buy that for you 5.0 or did it come with the car? I got the same wing and it came with it when I bought it. Its by far my fav wing and really didn't notice it until I got home.

Tyler:

Before I ordered the car, I made up my mind that I personally did not care for the factory GT spoiler. Wasn't wild about the pedestal spoiler either, so I ordered my car with spoiler delete. However, I always loved the GT500 spoiler, so I ordered it seperately. It arrived way before the car itself, but when it was delivered, my dealer installed it for me. Couldn't be happier... IMO, it rounds off the rear end and gives it the final touch!

now that I looked a little closer, yours looks the same but is a bit taller than mine but very similar. I dont have the pedestal wing, so maybe its the factory I dont know.

The GT500 wing I got is actually the one from 3dCarbon, which is identical to the OE GT500 wing with gurney flap, but a lot more reasonable.
