"Phone" and "SIRIUS" buttons on base?
I have a base model 2011 Mustang GT, and noticed that I have 'phone' and 'SIRIUS' buttons on the console. I know that hands-free phone is only on the premium model, so is the 'phone' button just for looks? Also, is SIRIUS available for the base model? I got a little pamphlet for free 6 months of satellite radio, but I thought the base model doesn't have it. And if it does, I can't seem to get the code needed to activate it. Has anybody done this?

Well, looks like I don't have it then. When I press the SIRIUS button it says 'no satellite radio' on the console. The dealership had a brand new worker go over all the features/manual stuff right before I picked up the car, and she seemed a little bit confused as to the model I got (was trying to tell me how many colors I could change my dash with - I had to inform her that base models don't have MyColor). So it is entirely possible I got the SIRIUS radio pamphlet by mistake.

I do believe the base radio can be upgraded for satelite radio and probably for sync for the phone.
The reason the buttons are there is that they use the same face panel/controls for both the base radio and the premium shaker 500, less part numbers for Ford to have to deal with.
