Question Performance White owners/orders - need assistance

I was all for the Kona Blue until I saw the Performance White Shebly pics in the picture section. I just can't get past how sick the car looks in pure white!

Any people that ordered or have that color have any input on going with the white versus a darker color? I'm worried that being so close to the ground it will stay dirty 95% of the time...

I want to place my order soon, but the decision on the color is driving me nuts

Dont feel bad-

Im in the same boat. I just had a copy of the new 2011 Brochure, and the girl who served me at the Italian restaurant for lunch told me that Black on the Mustang is gorgeous. I agree. BUT....

Back and forth between Black, and Grabber Blue. I like white too, but know that its also torture, cause you can see every spec of dirt on it. Although swirls arent easily seen. White looks a little boring on a Mustang to be honest. But it retains the least heat!

Also, the Red Candy is nice.

Black with Brembos is gorgeous. If you get polished or chrome rims, then its such a sexy car. Problem is black you have to detail really nicely and keep a good eye on it.

Havent seen the Race Red yet, but imagine its similar to Torch Red...

I'm stuck between the Sterling Gray, Candy Red, and White.

I was all about the Kona blue until I saw it in person. Too 'purplish' for my tastes.

Here's a fact for you. White Cars look cleaner than dark cars, even when dirty.
I've had many, many black cars, and now I will only buy white, trust me, ask anyone who's owned both color cars and they'll tell you it's easier to keep a white car cleaner longer and when it is dirty it will always look cleaner than a black car.

But ever since owning my 87 supra turbo which was white, I realize how much easier it is to keep white cars clean.

If you own a black mustang and its your Daily driver, and you live in some place like Edmonton Alberta your car almost never looks clean except at night and right after washes.

Main reason I got performance white this time, is I really regret not getting a white mach 1 instead of my black on black one.

The only way I'd go white is if I were to make it more of a "rally" look.

Black wheels, rear decklid black out, tints on windows, maybe some sort of black stripe/graphic- like just on the hood or the "spears", shaker, dark tint the rear lights and front fogs, etc...,

These are a decent start to what I'd do.

My fav car in white:

I totally dig white. VERY easy to keep it looking good, IMO.

That Mustang looks like a barcode that got lost in the Flat Rock assembly plant . . .

No offense intended. I realize color choice is totally subjective. Just my opinion. . .

When it's fresh and clean and just waxed and the paint looks a mile deep, it's hard to beat black.

I have a black '94 Lightning and used to have a black '99 Lightning and they sure look great when they are all shined up.

I agree with that one.

I think with white you need to stay away from too many contrasting details on the car. Throw on some tints, don't get black wheels, maybe throw some hood spears on it, and leave it alone.

White looks good when a lot of it is showing and it isn't covered up with a million black lines/decals/etc...

I ordered mine in white. I was originally leaning toward the gray, but after continually washing my Honda (also gray) and noticing every little scratch and ding, I came to my senses and ordered it in white. I guess it all depends how you're going to use the car. Nothing looks better than a freshly washed black (or dark colored) car. I've had black cars before with beautiful, mirror-like finishes. BUT, it seems as soon as you take it for a spin around the block, it gets dirty. Every little scratch, ding and imperfection in body panels seems to get magnified. White, on the other hand, almost ALWAYS looks good, and seems to hide just about every scratch and ding. As this car is going to be my daily driver, and will see its share of snow storms, road salt, black flies (the state bird) and countless other types of abuse, white was the only way to go.

The only bad thing about white is that stains show up more easily on white cars.

Agree with that 100%! Only looking to do tinted windows - keep all the stickers off of it for sure - haven't been into those since grade school
