Patrick -- when will I get my Mustang?

OK, I was bored so I had to posted this for LaserRed. . .

My build date is Tuesday. Do you think I'll have it by Wednesday? Thursday at the latest? Can I go pick it up? Do you think they'll put oil and gas in it?

Never. I like your options. I saw your VIN and I'm headed to Flat Rock to find it before it hits the truck.

And change your username. We don't allow Corvette owners/worshippers here. Don't you know the rules? There's already a thread about this on page 4.

Well now I'm going to have to post the question about whether or not the V6 Mustang can take my '82 'vette in the 1/4 mile. I understand the aero in the 'vette is so much better even if the Mustang has more than 50% more HP. . . and the 'vettes 2.82 gears really help it shine on the top end as it approaches 85 MPH. . . pegging the speedo.

Rules? Oh, yeah, that link didn't work for me.

That would go under the "VS" section. It's where you can ask "which car is better/faster than the other"...

Do you really think that the aerodynamics of a '82 vette is better than the 2011 Mustang?

I would bet money that it isn't...

That is one of the things that they worked on in the 2010 model and they improved it even more on the 2011.

Yes. And the '82 is faster, better handling, and better looking. Plus the interiors of 80s vintage GMs were way ahead of their time and second only to a shipping container's creature comforts.

I read it on the Internet so it must be true.

They're even more elitist than hard core Ford owners...

Only thing that may be worse is a vette owner who also owns a Mustang!

He was JOKING?!?!?

I took it seriously and sent PMs to all the mods asking to have his account suspended. Because I know they can do that if you just ask.

Us elitist Corvette guys who lower ourselves to the Mustang aren't afraid of anything!

Next day delivery is only guaranteed for the West Coast and Export models, and then only when you check the 'expedited delivery' option at time of ordering. The option is hard to find though, as it's completely undocumented, both the dealers and customer service will have no idea what you're talking about if you ask. Making the option selectable requires a specific combination of keystrokes to be entered by the salesman.

For a small fee of 10k$, a Fed Ex plane will be sent to the Detroit Metro Airport to pick up your car.
For another 2k$, Ford will let you drive the car from the factory to the airport and you will be able to sit in the comfort of your car for the duration of the flight.

Hopefully, my C6 will just be a pleasant memory soon....if they will just stop delaying my delivery date and get my 5.0 here. From 4/30, to 5/7, and as of today, 5/11.
