Options do-overs?

For me, I definitely could have done the leather upgrade for the shift ball alone (I thought I was already getting it in the regular premium package until it was too late)

And even though I thought I really wanted them, I could have left off the HIDs/security to help get the Electronic pack -- I kept convincing myself that NAV was something I didn't need but I was wrong

Maybe in retrospect 3.55s would have worked a little better in a daily driver than 3.73s, and even though it would have pushed the price way too high, I'm a little interested in seeing what the glass roof is like in non-100+ degree heat...

No regrets, though on the rest of the car...Live and learn...

I'd get 3.55's instead of 3.31's.

Maybe 19" bright machined wheels.

I love the ball shifter, but the 401A leather looks very wrinkly/fade prone.

I'd opt for just the back up camera, and maybe comfort group.

But I'm still very satisfied.

I'm more than content with my car "as is" but kinda wish I had opted for the remote starter, would have been cool with my new exhaust.

I didn't want the back up cam, the security pack, the comfort package and the hid's. They were however on a car that did have the brembo package, a manual transmission, and the electronics package.

I love the back up cam! My wife is excited about the comfort package. I could give an excrement about the hid's and security, but not a big expense. Love this freakin car.

That's a dealer installed accessory. So (granted you drive an auto?) can buy the unit and have it installed still

Only thing I would have added is the comfort package, if only for the power passenger seat. The unpowered seat sits very low, and it's hard to see out of for shorter people.

But, I can see just fine, and that's all that matters.

I'm more than happy with the options I chose, the shifter **** is nice but there will be a replica out very soon (you can buy it now from ford but are looking at $200 for it and the boot). The brembo pkg is fantastic along with the 3.73s. Couldn't be happier!

I love the car as is. The 3.55 vs 3.73 theory is interesting, but I love how alive my rear end feels (insert joke here) with the 3.73, and gas mileage difference isn't an issue.

Sounds like the OP described my car!

Too much hassle, plus I bet it'd be more expensive than $400, maybe one day but gears, tune and headers are coming first.

Does the glass roof have some kinda of way to sort of "close it" on the inside like you do with a sun roof?

I haven't got my car yet but the glass roof has always been something I was kinda on the fence on.

It has a retractable meshing to close off more light and heat. Thats about it though. It looks cool but its too much added weight in the wrong place, expensive and what happens if (god forbid) you roll the car?

But **** does it look good :P

Why would rolling the car affect matter more with a glass roof? Rollbars and pillars are still there and the glass is tempered.

The sole difference I would have done was to

NOT ORDER THE SIDE AND HOOD STRIPES!!!

After watching the initial Ford commercial (this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAX550biM7c

I ordered the hood and side stripe option as I was told that was what the black stripe was on the car in this commercial.

Well....that was not the case. The hood and side stripe comes with a retard and redundant "MUSTANG" engraved on both sides of the stripe as well as a "mini stripe" on the side and hood too.
It is not just a thick solid flat or satin black stripe like they show in the commercial.

So because of that, I wasted $395 and will be peeling the stripes off when my car is delivered.
Ford will hear about it too.

Other than that:

Premium
Brembos
HID
Security
3.55's

and that's all I need or want in the GT from their order sheet.

A very unlikely scenario, agreed. But If i had the option of rolling in a car with a glass roof or a steel roof, i'd pick steel.

By no means am I trying to take anything away from glass roof owners. Truth be told, had I had an extra couple of g's laying around i would have sprung for it.

Yeah the weight thing is only part of what turned me off from the glass roof.

I don't like all that sunlight on my leather for sure

plus I don't like a lot of light either

I take that back.. I'm happy without the glass roof

No you're not. The glass roof is what god would have sent if Jesus couldn't make it.

There are certain combinations that had they been offered as options I would have wanted (like Stone interior with glass roof -- not an available combo -- or 245s+ on 18 inch 5-spoke polished rims -- I'm old-school in that department and the 19s are too big for me). But given the options there were, thinking back, there is still nothing I would change.

Mine is pretty minimalist (compared to other Premiums). 11 GT Premium Coupe, manual, Kona w/ Stone 400A interior, comfort pkg, spoiler delete.
