I would, but I can't get off my job. Cursed work. If only I didn't need it to pay off said pony.

I left work the instant I saw a voicemail from my dealer when my car arrived. I also took the next day off. That was leave well spent.

I honestly can't say I blame you.

Now here's some daylight pics.
Nice evening shots! Great car! I can't wait for mine! They are now saying next week!

Mine is white, so I'll post shots in a snow storm.

Good luck w/ the clutch.

When I taught my eldest child a stick, she was eight and we went to an empty parking lot in a snowstorm. It worked great! The decreased traction provided enough slippage for her to get the feel of the clutch. After a short time she had it nailed.

When I taught my other child a stick, I had a performance car and it was summer. She did not get it right away. I was saying more gas less clutch at one point, prior to her peeling out big-time. When we finished this class and I was driving back slowly, she was asking what's up. I then showed her the 30' strip of rubber she put down.

Congrats Lancel! That is a beautiful ride. I love the color combination with the Brembo wheels.

Are you planning on aftermarket exhaust? I was curious if you knew any good places around Atlanta.

Never had aftermarket exhaust done before to offer a recommendation. I was planning on keeping it all stock anyway, though I confess the sound deadening is really good and I haven't listened to the car from the outside yet. And well, with me revving the heck out of it and sucking at shifting, I was also thinking "You know... maybe better not to advertise how much I suck at this."

Your car is gorgeous! They left the wheel locks off which you paid for; check the trunk. Congrats!

Thanks y'all. Oh, yeah, the lock kit was in the center console. Not decided on if I should put them on yet.

Nice post Lancel, and congrats. It's really nice to get lots of details about your impressions with the car, much better than the standard "I got it - here are some pics!" posts

The reverse operation is normal for European transmissions...and that is where Getrag is...

Doesn't mean we have to like it...

I guess it would only take a couple days to get used to though.

I should really get a better camera for this. Anyway, here's something that I haven't seen yet that people have worried about: HID equipped Mustang with everything on, including fogs and in this case the blinkers were on (I'm guessing as parking lights), at night. Not great, but that's what you get for using a camera phone. I'll try a daylight or morning picture tomorrow and see if that will make it a little more clear.

The reverse works just like the SROD 4-speed in my 82 GT. Down, left, up. Easy to do, but erasing 20 years of a conventional 5-speed reverse pattern won't be easy.
