I think a lot has to to do with the reduction in throw and the fact that I don't have the bushing replacement. I don't want to spend the $100 on the two-post just to not like it and then end up selling it to get the MGW in the end.

 

I did the opposite. I just got the Barton bracket with the stock shifter. Last year I struggled at the track with some downshifts surprisingly enough. I didn't have issues up shifting, but I had a hard time with the 4-3 downshift a few times.

Then I put the Barton bracket on, and my first track weekend since is in just over a week. I'm curious to see if it helps.

 

I got mine and really liked it at first. Much more effort than the stock shifter. I might take up the center console and see if it's still good under there. You never know. Please let us know how the track day turned out after.
