I did the opposite. I just got the Barton bracket with the stock shifter. Last year I struggled at the track with some downshifts surprisingly enough. I didn't have issues up shifting, but I had a hard time with the 4-3 downshift a few times.

Then I put the Barton bracket on, and my first track weekend since is in just over a week. I'm curious to see if it helps.

I got mine and really liked it at first. Much more effort than the stock shifter. I might take up the center console and see if it's still good under there. You never know. Please let us know how the track day turned out after.

Will do I'll start a thread under communities --> motorsports for this event. Looks like there will be quite a few Mustangs there.
