i looked at the factory exhaust. there are at least two pinch points. a length right after the cats, and before the resonators.

the after cats is said to be 2"-2.25". the exhaust is advertised at 2.75". it is , but in places far smaller. eyewitnesses noticed the small places too. so we have a full exhaust to look forward to.

i dont know if i but it that there's much to be had in the intake. 5 rwhp is all the 2010's get from CAI. pullies will still help power. water pump and alternator are the only gains though with no power steering pump.

the right combination of bolt-ons will get some to 400rwhp, maybe 410rwhp. tuning seems to be the wildcard here.

we dont know the specs on the cams used. if they are FRPP pieces or fr500 pieces, we can tun e it for WAY more power.

cams and a tune will be on my list for sure.

Best thing is just to enjoy the car stock this yr. Let everyone test all these bolt ons and tunes and see if they are worth the money with real dyno #'s. Let others be the Guinea Pig and make sure they do not harm the car. Tunes may be a little tricky with this engine.

Mind you this is just one test...

http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...rogrammer.html

"When we started, Steeda's '10 GT laid down 274 rwhp and 299 lb-ft of torque. For a real-world test, we ran the car at full operating temperature and dyno'd it with the hood closed. After our installation, output picked up to 287 rwhp and 304 lb-ft of torque for a peak gain of 13 rwhp and 5 lb-ft of torque. Although the peak gains are solid, the gains across the entire graph were substantial. The torque curve smoothed out across the whole graph, with gains as big as 20 lb-ft in some spots. Horsepower was increased tremendously between 4,500 rpm and redline, with a gain of almost 25 rwhp at one point"

BBK Throttle Body:
start it at 5:06 where they take it on the dyno... +12 hp + 10 tq peak
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_hTgk3iSXs

Combined, those are solid numbers - I have both on mine, and it transformed the car. So there is room for improvement over factory.

I'm going to talk with MRT about getting a hi-flo catted X-pipe for the 2011 and see what they suggest. Good friend of mine has one on his '08 Bullitt and it sounds awesome.

I think in terms of mods, I'm going to wait it out for the nitty-gritty stuff, like tunes and other big power adders. If FRPP comes out with an intake or other performance parts, I'd consider it sooner, but I'll do some aesthetic mods first, let it settle in, then add the go-fast goodies after.

Your right. Would like to get a GT500 rear spoiler and a chin spoiler? Maybe lowering spring but am afraid it will ruin the ride and handling since its so great from the factory.

I think it needs a little drop, not much, to clear up the wheel gap and make it more uniform. Aside from that, I'm looking at the GT500 rear diffuser, CS front lip or Steeda front bumper, 2010 dark chrome pony badge, rear decklid insert, and the SHR flush mount louvers to start.

Since I'm buying a 300 spec car, my first mod will be steering wheel replacement. In fact, as soon as the dealer gives me a delivery date, I will buy the Bullitt wheel to have ready for when my car comes in. I must have a leather wrapped wheel, but I didn't want any of the other Premium stuff.

a lot fo 2010's are making 279rwhp stock. that dyno is typical on the intake gains though. 8rwhp WITH a tune. the tune changes the octane to 93 from 87 stock on 2010's. the CAI by itself adds very little.

ford improved the lid for 2010. it works very well.

I may do the GT500 wheel as well. Depends on how I feel about the 301a wheel after I get the car.

Yeah, I was going to get the GT500 wheel, but the Bullitt one I like better it doesn't have the suede and looks identical to the stock one except for leather wrap. See it here

If you don't have Sync, that wheel works well. For those of us with the 301A package, the only step up is the GT500 wheel. I'm surprised how expensive that Bullitt wheel is from there.

Well, I look at it as saving $ 2,600 not getting the Premium Pkg! Are you saying that if we are getting a 300A spec car (GT non Premium) then the Bullitt wheel is fine? I think I read somewhere that the wiring is different on 11s vs the 08 and 09 Bullitt, but the controls look the same on the Bullitt and Base wheel??? Anyone know for sure?

What about the 18R wheel, has anyone priced that?
