No suction
No suction
I have tint on my windshield, so I don't want to use a suction cup to hold a phone or GPS because it might scratch or otherwise damage it.
Has anyone come up with a good way of holding electronic devices without permanently modding the interior?
All I've seen so far are devices that clamps on to an air vent, or adhesive pads that glue to the dash.

I use this. It seems a bit of a loose fit but it works great and is easy to drop into the console for hiding when the car is parked. I use only the first straight section by swapping parts around.
It's legal now -- it mostly blocks UV and IR, and passes over 90% of the visible (Crystalline by 3M). It covers all of the windshield, and makes long trips great (I live in the south).

That looks pretty good; and they used a Mustang dash in the last pic. Thanks!
