I'm sick of reading negative posts about these "problems" so I figured I'd be the first to say I LOVE my new Mustang!!! Is it perfect? Nope but it's everything I wanted it to be and more . . . and the only issue I had (brake pads) was fixed very painlessly by Ford. My favorite part of the car has to be that it pulls hard all the way up to redline
What's your favorite part of your stang?

My favorite part of the car is:

And I know a lot of people hate it but the tail light/rear end of the car. I think it looks awesome especially with the backup camera spoiler.

This thread is full of so much win it can barely be contained! I love my stang for all of the above reasons plus I just love the color. It breaks more necks then a steven segal movie.
Not to take away from those who are having problems, I would like to say that my 2011 Mustang GT with the 6R80 6-speed auto has been flawless. I've owned my 'Stang since May of 2010 and it has 14,000 miles on it with zero problems. Best Mustang I've ever owned. And, at age 50, I have to say that I enjoy the looks I get while in this car. Really makes me feel young, LOL. Great driving experience!
So I've missed 4th gear a few times due to the transmission locking me out coming from third (usually when its nice and hot) and some bearings scream in addition to that. I've also grenaded a clutch disk (faulty disk), and have leaking out my rear passenger axle seal which is on schedule for repair.
That might sound terrible, but I've put 19.5k miles on the car in 9 Months! Also have 19 15-25minute track sessions under the car's belt, and live in Phoenix, err, Hell's Climate, Arizona.
This workload on my previous V8 Audi S4 resulted in a near monthly visit to the dealer:
-Failed swaybar endlinks front and back (and one front swaybar rendered useless due to wallowing of mount hole)
-Failed PS pump line causing a on-track incident and 3 months of burnt fluid smell
-2 motor mounts
-1 Audi/Getrag 6 speed manual Transmission (synchro failure on 3/4, replaced third gear, and full bearing/seal rebuild)
-1 Clutch assembly
-numerous engine gaskets and seals
-2 sets of all front control arms
-2 axles
and lots of minor maintenence.
I had that car for 12 months before I finally threw in the towel and bought something that's every bit if not more fun to drive, I actually get to keep it at home (versus the service department), and despite the mid 600 car note, its saving me money monthly.

Locked out of 2nd twice...engine ticks in a disconcerting way...still in my top ten favorite cars I have ever driven!
It does everything so well...goes like hell, stops like a gorilla, corners like a demon...and looks damned good doing it.

CAI and tuned 18k and still runs strong. Only problem was my clutch pedal sank at the track. I'm taking it as driver error since i went to redline. Love my stang! Oh i did have to replace my driver seat motor at 15k.
11,500 miles, MT-82...no problems. I have been back to the dealer once, for an oil change. I find reasons to drive it, especially in the hills. In fact, I bought Blizzaks and SVT wheels because I couldn't let it sit in the garage for 7 months as I did with my '97 Cobra and '07 GT/CS. This thing is a dream, evn in the snow we get here.
The best thing...the looks the other old foggies (I am 68) give me when we pull up in it and they are parking their Buicks and Avalons....the guys drool and the women scowl

My only issues with my car is not enough time to enjoy it! Sometimes what gives me motivation to go to work in the morning is knowing that I'll have fun getting there. Sometimes I even take the long way home just to open her up a little. I've got a 6mt, yes its notchy, but so were my other Mustangs. I'm tuned as well, why not? I understand the consequences, but we only live once. I'm glad this thread was started because I was starting to think TMS was becoming a complaint board. I hope for everyone with issues that Ford will fix it so they can enjoy their cars once again.
MT-82 here with Brembo Pkg, 3.73's, and SCT Tuned. 4K miles of very spirited driving. Not quite as fast as my supercharged '07 GT, but close enough to thoroughly enjoy pounding through the gears. No problems to report, other than bad wheel hop which is mostly gone now that I've replaced the LCA's.
I love mine too! I had the notchiness pretty bad, changed fluid and shifter and now its a dream.
The way it pulls is insane... and the sound coming out of my Roush axle-backs... makes me tight in the pants.
