Nitto Invos

Has anyone on here put Nitto Invo's on their 5.0?

I am buying a set of SVE Drift wheels in flat black and I want to get some really nice tires for them. I hardly drive in the rain ever, unless I get caught. I have ET Streets for the track so I am not worried about drag strip performance, I just want a tire with little road noise that rides nice and is fairly sticky on the street.

Right now I am thinking 245/40-19 front and 285/35-19 rear since they both fit on a 9.5" wheel and they are identical height.

I have them on my 2011 in 255/35/20 and 295/35/20 and have no complaints, I am getting ready to lower the car but right now they look good and feel fairly sticky when I push them. Very good grip on launches

My two choices would be either the Nitto Invo's or the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I'm doing 275/35/19 all the way around.

I like mine. I have been caught in the rain way more than I would like this year and they worked pretty good. I have pushed them on dry roads and they work much better than you could ever use safely on the street. They aren't especially noisy and friends claim they are quiet compared to what they have. I don't complain about the ride either. Mine has the lower suspension kit from CDC which was designed for 20" wheels. I have 450rwhp and they hook up good for what they are.

In the sizes you need, the Nittos are definitely going to be ideal.

They are compliant enough for daily-driving but will stick when you want them to. Just be ready to have them not last all that long. They aren't terrible when it comes to tire life, but after a couple heaters they definitely lose a lot of their tread/life.

Go for it!

I don't have Nitto Invos but I do have 245/40/19s on the front of my car on a 9.5" wide wheel and I would not do it again. The sidewall looks stretched to fit on the wheel. They tire itself is too narrow in my opinion. Again it's just my opinion but I would not repeat it again in the future. 255 is the least I would go on 9.5" and 265 would be better.

Especially with 285s on the back on the 9.5" wheel it makes the front ones look that much narrower.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I will be trying a set of these.

Anybody know of a cheaper place than corvettewheels.com to get them? That place is even cheaper than discount tire direct.

The reason I was thinking about the 245 up front is because the OD is identical to the rear ones I had chosen. Can you post pics of your wheels and tires so I can see what you're talking about?

If I have to go different I think I will go smaller in the front since my car has some rake to it and right now my rear tires are slightly less OD and it makes the front look more slammed and the rear more jacked up.

I run invo's on my car on a 20x10 rim. I have 295x35 and they look and feel great. I live in S. Florida so rain is a part of life. I have never had a issue with traction on wet roads.

On dry roads I can push them far better than the extremes I had before. The Invo is a great tire, and yeah the thread just looks super cool.
