You know that's not his car he is showing right??? ........

Wow great looking hood. I have been very distracted the last few days. Late Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning my son had an emergency appendectomy. Now we are all back home and he's feeling so much better. Monday I'll be thinking about my car again.

Again thanks for recommendation. Hell that flat black might look pretty good on kona blue...

He's doing really well today, THANKS. It's hard to keep him down. He's all boy and a super athlete. I have to remind him no free running, no push ups, no ab work, no hitting a bag. Bonked his head about 5 weeks ago and had a mild concussion, so I insisted no training for 3 weeks. He just started back again and I have to sit him down again.

Just as a reference this is round 2 of a fight he dominated about a year ago. He is 3 years younger, 3 inches shorter, and 20#s lighter than his opponent. He kind of goes spinning backhand crazy in this round. But.... he's a kid and landing a spinning back hand is FUN.

His record for one minute is 98 sit ups and his push up record is 150 straight (no time limit).....

Talked with insurance today. They are being absolutely fair. I ordered the cervini's 3" Cobra R hood https://cervinis.com/large.aspx?img=1569_1_big.png . There were others including the tiger racing hood, which I really liked, but felt that at my advanced age, that the subtle aggression or the Cobra R was more appropriate.

Also had to talk with American muscle and replace my smashed Grille. I'm going with the same one I had before which was the polished retro billet grill http://www.americanmuscle.com/polish...ille-2010.html . Parts shipping from the East, I'm in the West, likely 5 business days.

Will try to get some pics up in 2 weeks or so when it all should be done.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Going in to the shop in the AM. A week of rental cardom awaits me. Going with the Cervini's Cobra R hood (despite customer service unhappiness), replacing my American Muscle Grille and adding Hi Output 302 badges circa 1965 as the coyote is a high output 302!!!! Should be unique and hopefully sharp!

This brings me back to my karate/kick boxing days. Trained for 9 years but never managed to get the first stripe on my black belt. Sucks when youre too busy being a student and working. Good to see you got your kid doing it when he is young. That is the best time.

Family business for us. He's pretty literally been raised in the gym. Learned to walk in a boxing ring and on the Grappling floor area. 9 years is a long time not to pick up a degree. Sounds like you may have had a demanding/good instructor. I have little respect for trainers who give away rank. American Karate Pioneer Joe Lewis when asked what degree black belt he had responded, "There are two kinds of black belts, good ones and bad ones, I'm a good one." He never received additional degrees, though he was clearly one of the toughest and best of the American Martial Arts Pioneers.

I've been open for 27 years and in the first 22 years when I was still teaching more traditional martial arts I have awarded exactly 5 black belts. All were amazingly capable. The first was my girlfriend at that time (highlight reel attached)
whom I failed 2 times. She was a 5 time world champion and had been awarded Black Belt Magazine's Woman of the Year and Fighter of the year. She had also been awarded Inside Kung Fu Magazine's Woman of the year. She had over 30 magazine covers and was touted as world's toughest woman. So she clearly earned her rank. Nothing wrong with not receiving additional degrees. I consider everything over 3rd honorary.

This is a nice guy come in, tell you that so many people just left the scene, or act like they "do not know they hit you. Good luck with the repair.

If I get your post, yes he was a very nice and honest guy. Worked out well for me. Many times I've come out to scuffs and dings on previous cars and not note or anything. I was very fortunate that not only was he honest, but that his insurance company completely and promptly lived up to their responsibility.
