Newest Shelby Pics...
I can see enough to believe it will be a big FE change......but not enough to see how it will be executed......I have a feeling one of my New Edge cars will be on the block as this new car will be a must have!
Am I the only one that continues to see this on the shots? Doesn't this look like the exhaust pipe goes under and down the center instead of over? orange arrow points at what I am looking at.
I know its inconcievable, but doesn't it look like it?

What I find interesting is that the '98 to '99 refresh was largely to the exterior only (the PI heads not withstanding) - changes to the interior design were minimal and only noticeable to us Stang freaks. However with the '09 to '10 refresh, it's nice to see that they've carried it into the cockpit as well.
Yep. If they don't come with one, I'll be buying one.
i like the design of those mirrors!
I'm not liking that front end of the Shelby, reminds me of a Mustang 2 for some reason..
2 things Ford needs to get right on this car, first, it's their only performance car, it handles **** well, put some real sport seats in it, that means large side bolstering! Nothing like flailing around the cabin of an S-197 because the seats are as flat as a board. And seriously, the same crappy V6 seats in GT's and Shelby's? C'mon Ford, even the lowly Neon SRT-4 had performamce seats. Look at the seats in the Aussie FPV Falcons. And you can't just put in aftermarket seats anymore because of the built in side airbags, I won't buy a new Mustang if it still uses the same old horrible seats.
And second, this isn't an SUV, put some actual wide performance rubber on the car, the only reason the curent GT gets out-handled by the pig Challenger is because the GT has tires that belong on a Escape.
Fix those two things and bring on the 5.0 and you have a winner..

Have to agree with BLACK331. Could use new seats and some performance tires....the 5.0 will be great as well. One thing is that I hope an up comming BOSS mustang wont just have the 5.0 with some extras. I hope the BOSS has a higher performance engine to make it stand out. Im really looking to get a boss in a few years and I don't want everyone and their mom to take a gt put some aftermarket or a ford package on it and call it a BOSS...even the boss appearance package this year pissed me off. I mean the boss is a real classic and a real SE and should be treated that way. Anyone know what I mean?
Yes I do fastmover05. I'm holding out for a new Boss 302 and not a "tape and stripe" appearance package but a true SE model with the goods under the hood as well as the brakes, suspension and tires to uphold the Boss 302 road race heritage. Hopefully Ford will also invest in some serious weight reduction for the Boss as well to take advantage of the HP and torque from the new 5.0L.
I'm completely with both of you. I'm not sure I'll be able to hold on with some reassurance that there will be the return of the legend or even another Mach 1. Just so long as it isn't just visually different but in performance too!
I got to walk around a new Challenger SRT8 Saturday night at the local cruise. It was very nice. Hemi Orange etc. Just like you see in most of the magazines.
I knew the car was big. I saw it at the Cleveland Auto Show back in March, but now that I had the opportunity to see it up close, the thing is HUGE!
You can easily see that it is related to the Charger and Chrysler 300 both inside & out. Just like I saw in the magazine, Dodge cheaped it up, and gave the Challenger the Charger dash board.
Another negative about the car was that it sits too high and doesn't sound very mean at low rpms. I think Motor trend was right, and you are going to see a lot of Challenger buyers invest in aftermarket exhaust systems.
Being a Ford guy and a Mustang fanatic, I still came away thinking that the Challenger was a very nice car. Although I would still take a GT500 over it.
