Newbie with questions

First off i just got back from the Ford dealership in Flatrock Michigan and took photos of my newly arrived Base Mustang GT in Grabber blue 6 spd(see pics).Soon to be added will be a Cervini black billet grille(I hate the grille mounted driving/fog lights)and 20" Roush 5 spoke crome wheels with Cooper Zeon RS3 tires, and a 3D Carbonn GT500 Spoiler, and Roush side Louvers(will post pics later)

Question #1 Since i will no longer have the driving lights, what do i need to do with the original wiring harness(s) that were attached to the driving lights?
Will my light switch be affected in anyway?
Do i need to tape up the harness ends?
I may replace the front cover with a Roush version in the future.

Question#2Since i wasn't able to get the shaker 500 audio system,is there a audio manufaturer who produces a exact fit replacemant for the stock stereo?

I pulled the fog lights on my '10 and I taped the harness' with electrical tape just incase I or my wife accidentally pulls the fog switch in the rain or when the car is wet.

Shelby has kicker replacement speakers systems. Check out Shelby Automotive Parts.

From the looks of it you have the Shaker 500, or perhaps the 1000. It's going to be a pain in the neck doing an aftermarket headunit. You could always replace the speakers. Lots of traffic on what speakers to get over in Interior section.

His car is a base 300A car and the shaker is not an available option. That is why he asked for other options.

OK Cool. I thought all of them came stock with Shaker 500, and that 1000 and Nav were the options.

Has anyone thought to just add an amp and speakers to the base head unit instead of worrying about replacing the whole works?

Replacing the stock HU looks like a major pain and expense... The radio isn't a typical DIN mount, so you have to buy an adapter, and then you need to buy a new center console face that relocates all of the climate controls, and provides a single/double din opening for the new HU. From when I was looking at installing an aftermarket nav, I believe the parts to do the install (not including the radio) were around $500. Might be easier to get an amp with speaker-level inputs.

They should in my opinion! I am not overly impressed with the shaker 500 in my premium, and to me should be the factory/base audio system.

Agreed. My old Z28 had a 500 watt, 8 speaker "Monsoon" should system and to me it was a lot better system than the Shaker 500. My wifes SRT-4 has a premium Kicker sound system and it is pretty nice.

I have the Nav and I changed the speakers twice. It's not too bad now but compared to other stock systems the Mustangs sound system sucks.

I'm not an audiophile myself so the base radio is pretty much good enough for me.

Thanks for the input guys, looks like i'll just have to go with some aftermarket speakers.Believe it or not i used to have a 2010 Camaro RS and the stock unit in the car was pretty lame(didn't have the Boston Acoustics sound system),and there is no aftermarket replacement for the head unit.
