New Wheels For 2010 As Per 05stangKC
Looks Like Some Wheel Changes for 2010. My Info is Limited but here is what I have . I am Sorry I have no Pics. But it Appears Ford May be Doing away with 16"s on the Mustang and The Shelby Name Continues at Least to 2010. There may also be Some Carry Over From Prior models also. I see no 2009 Wheel Changes at this Time. As Usual you Heard it First on TMS!
19x9.5 Appears to Be Shelby Specific {New Size} Bright Machined
19x8.5 Non Shelby {New Size} 2 Styles Polished or Machined Alum
18x9.5 Appears to be Shelby Specific Bright Machined
18x8 Painted Alum. Wide Spoke or Narrow Spoke Style
17x7 {New Size} Aluminum Sparkle or Dark Argent Styles
Enjoy!

I'm glad the 16s are going to be gone...they're just so small... more proof of the "dead-cat zone" getting smaller...more shelbys too...hope they dont flood the market.
Ha! I always liked 19" as a good compromise of ride and wheel-well-filling potential. I guess tire makers will have more reason to make 19" tires more available now. I'd be nice if they'd make more factory rims that were deep dish and/or wide rim sizes.
Here's a few new spy pics that give at least an oblique view of what I presume will be the GT wheels, painted in a dark color to hide them a bit.

The one view does tend to peak under the car a bit, can any more discerning eyes perhaps see any differences from the current car (IRS?)? Looks about the same to me. Does give a slightly clearer idea of what the tail lights will look like.

I will have to ask around and see if any of our customers know who are doing the 2010 wheels.
We polish the 20x10, 20x9,18x9.5 Shelby GT500, GT500KR, GT500 Super Snakes. We also polish the 18x8 Mustang(Marauder) wheel. We do other Mustang wheels as well.

Hey GTJohn, do you know the weight difference between the 18 and 20" wheels you work on?
Hmmmm...... I wonder how 19" wheels will fair in the long run? I just get the feeling that 19's are destined to be the 390mm wheels and tires of the new millenium.

The Mustang wheels we process are all forged.
The 20x9 is 29lbs.
The 18x9.5 is 30-31lbs
The 18x8 (a.k.a Marauder Wheel) 23-24lbs.
It all depends on the design and if they are forged or cast. Cast are usually heavier.
All our Corvette wheels(C6, Z06, SS) are cast.
One of our other customers, had us process "Fan Blades" about a year ago. I think their supplier was having quality issues.
We occasionally receive "Fan Blades" that are accidentally shipped to us. They are cast. Next time I'll place one on the scale.

Sweet, the 20" wheel is lighter by a pound. Thats awesome, if for no other reason than it allows a big brake kit (with some two piece rotors) and some good sized rubber without adding tons of unsprung weight.
