I have been lurking around for a while, and have always loved Mustangs as well as have spent a lot of my adult life working on Mustangs. I am in the process of restoring a 1967 Mustang coupe and had a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, but due to Toyota's lack of willing to warranty their defects I decided that now was the perfect time to get a car I have always wanted! I went to the Ford dealership and started looking for the perfect Mustang, I was looking for a 2011 up, I wanted the 5.0 coyote and a 6 speed manual transmission, those were my only requirements. I expected to end up with a used Mustang but the dealership I went to was trying to push the 2014 model out the door so they gave me a bunch of incentives, dropped the price to barely above MSRP, and then gave me top dollar for my Tacoma. I ended up right then taking delivery of a brand new 2014 Mustang GT in Sterling Gray with the track pack, brembo brakes, and 3.73 gears. It has been an uphill battle so far since Georgia is very unprepared for winter weather storms and it has been parked a good bit while also dealing with gravel on the roads and salt.

I have already tinted the third brake light, the front turn signals, the rear markers, and the rear valance reflectors. I have also replaced the front door speakers to have a little bit nicer toner while I am stuck with the base radio.

I have plans to tint the windows asap, gloss black 5.0 fender emblems instead of the chrome, lower the car with Eibach Pro springs, a roush chin splitter, and upgrade the sound system. I tend to get the mod bug pretty easily so who all knows what else I will do along the way but this should at least get me started.

Here are a few pictures, sorry for the quality, I will get some better ones when the weather gets better.

Looking forward to getting a lot more information from the forum and everyone with a little more knowledge than me.

Welcome to TMS. This crappy weather will pass and you'll have a ball. Congrats.

The first day and a half I had it was a ball, and I have had a few other days between storms that were nice. I love the car, even looking out the front window at her puts a smile on my face.

You might as well plan on Redline hood struts, a good sounding set of axle back mufflers and an MGW shifter. This seems to be the gospel that everyone in the Church of Mustangs preaches on here including myself.

Redlines and a fulle Borla S-Type are on the list, can't believe I left them off.

I have heard a little about MGW but not a lot. I know I will definitely want a shifter upgrade at some point there is definitely some slop in the stock shifter.

It's a beauty, congrats. The weather does suck now, with today (02/12/13) being the worst. But, for us in the south it will pass soon. Enjoy.

No recaros for me, I wish I did, maybe if I find some sitting around on craigslist I will pick them up if I can!

I like the way the marker light tint looks, did you spray them or use a film

I used a vinyl film, I'm not a big fan of spraying lights, I can't ever get them perfect and I notice the imperfections every time I see it so for me the vinyl tint is always the way to go.

Welcome to the forum, SterlingGrayGT! That is one beautiful car! Congrats. Also, regarding your 1967 Mustang, Ford-approved Mustang restoration parts can be found at www.fordrestorationparts.com. Hope this helps.

Best color IMHO. But I am a little bias.
Also be sure to check out the car color section if you haven't already. If you ever wonder on how something would look with your color, it is a great place to look at the pics of other SGM with the mods

I got a precut kit. I had originally planned to buy it all through American Muscle but when I added up the price of all of them I figured I would look on ebay. I found a company called Subject 9 who was selling all of them for $14 so I figured I would take a shot at it. It is pretty good quality tint, a little on the thin side from what I have used in the past but still good, especially for the cost.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
