And I guess I'll have to wait for the third iteration of BULLITT to get
the rear leftside antenna!!!!

anyone feel this sketch is similar to the ones motor trend posted in the late 90s or early 00's about the upcoming 05' at the time? Its not exact but errily similar in my opinion...... I notice small hips a slanted blocky a**-end.am i crazy or do you guys see this too?

m05fastbackGT 12/6/07 11:58 PM

Nah, your not crazy ! I also see small hips in the bottom car

GT40 2 12/7/07 12:12 AM

I wonder what rear suspension it has?

Moosetang 12/7/07 12:59 AM

Don't see anything that suggests its not SRA, connections hanging down look like they're from a Solid Axles and not an IRS setup.

elcaminoguy 12/7/07 01:25 AM

Well from the parts that are peeking out from under the camo we know it's a white car...

Even with the rear "panties" obscuring the view it does look like it has a massive rear end. Lets hope it's just some extra padding to throw everyone off.

It kind of looks like an 04 with an s197 Front end.

Louie 12/7/07 03:35 AM

The side mirrors are nice, the front bumper and the headlights are very promising and there are definitely hips! The small distance between the 3rd brake light and the top of the spoiler makes me think it's a ducktail spoiler. I wonder whether the air vent in the hood camo is there with a real purpose (fingers crossed!).
So far, so good. I was hoping to see a lower stance, but maybe it's just beacuse of the mule wheels.

Now, bring on the coupe shots!

:hmm: . . . . .

Rear antenna was said to be there (moved from front to back)
So its definately a 2010 not a 2009 SE or anything.

Tail lights could be interesting (would have to see them with the whole car obviously)

Black portion under the doors and running the length of the car are like the current V6/GT500

Front end, can't see much, but it looks more aggressive for sure.
Has that 'smile' that the 2004 Mustang GT Concept has (or the GT500, or the PJ...or the GTR-40)

The Hip might not be huge, but the camo can throw off the look and style of it. I think from the look its going to be a more subtle looking hip, but will probably look great with the lines of the car. (whether a smooth hip or sharp edge hip) Look at the rear pic with the side visable, and look at the line in the car from the mirror to the antenna and see how it comes up and curves into a hip....

Ride height in the back...shudder....

Rear could look like either a ducktail or an actual spoiler (tough to see under the camo)

StangMahn 12/7/07 07:14 AM

The spoiler is more than likely just padding, to be that height. I dont like the huge rear of that car, needs to be a little less J. Lo, and a little more Scarlett Johanssen...

WaltM 12/7/07 07:35 AM

A whole-lotta ***-fat for sure. The mirrors are better, but kinda skinny.

Black331 12/7/07 07:37 AM

You'd think they'd have got the memo on ride height by now, and the truck tires.. I'm not very optimistic about this..:(

its really tto early to pass judgement, side mirrors are a plus!

I drew a quick paint image of what i see the taillights look like through the camo.

Very true !

jarradasay 12/7/07 08:54 AM

I think what we are seening are hips more like the Buick Lacrosse then what many people expected. ie no rise after the door, instead the top doorline stays in an even plane with the top of the rear quarter, such that the hip is created in the stamping of the panel not in the line of the panel itself.

Doubtful, but looking at it through the camo, it could be very much like the 69.

What I find strange is that all the auto web sights are posting that it will have new bumpers and lights. You guys think along with the roof line that the current doors or front fenders are to be retained? From the spy shots it almost seems as if the doors are the same as the current car? I guess the doors have a simplicity that could be used in another body style if needed. My 08' Legacy got a minor refresh from the 05-07 cars with different bumpers, headlights, minor interior changes but the doors and roof are the same.....Though I have to think the Mustang's restyle will be a bit more aggressive than the Legacy.with the subaru you almost have to squint to notice the difference between the 07 and 08

Now those would be very cool, although I'm not convinced that's whats under the disguise. As mentioned previously, the mirrors are a big (or should that be small!) improvement. The front end definately looks GT500 inspired.

So, front end could look like this (Checkout the hood vent too!)

Whilst the rear end looks a little too much like this: :rofl2:

That, my American friends, is what we in Europe call a Ford Ka.

Unlikely, I'm afraid. The car isn't (and is unlikely too) be sold in Europe. Therefore. testing over here is very unlikely and, even if they did, they'd only need some temporary amber turn signals on the test cars.

I hope I'm proved wrong on this though.

I was saying more the depth but here is an full version of how i think the tails are.

I think it is much more agressive looking...I like it so far.
