Yes it is, there is another thread that someone even found the exact pic it was photoshopped from.

To begin with we're told the design of the side on the C&D sketch is incorrect. The door handle is too high.
Can anybody say "integrated door handles"...maybe as part of the side molding on the door?..maybe those cool push butten ones like on the Ford GT and Corvette?

As long as it's not lambo style.

What's cool is the hockey stick is gone, and there's a real C scoop

That photoshoped front end isn't aggresive enough compared to the real deal

As cool as that would be, I doubt the bean counters would allow something like that.

Curious about how the rear lights cut-up towards the side of the car.
Could be a cool/unique look

NOT diggin the taillamp shape. However it appears the sketches suggest a clear vertical center section in the taillamps which could be the reason we keep seeing thin dual vertical strips on the camo cars. It's possible they stuck on a dummy red reflector disguise in the center section to throw us off.

It reminds me of these lamps many people in Europe are using to make them amber turn signal compliant:

Probably did that just to differentiate between the 3 lights.

The 'canadian flag' look wouldn't look good compared to the 'candy cane'

To me it looks like Ford was not allowed to change too many of the hardpoints... That is just just desiging new skins over the existing hidden structure. What the sketch suggests to me is that they created a slanted line in the bumper cover that runs from the original bumper cover cutline on the corners then dips down to the bottom edge of decklid yeilding redesigned taillamps which the bottoms follow the same slant.

To me it's just changing something not because it is necessarily good looking, but because it was something they could do to make it look different for the sake of making it different. It's not a cohesive design.

They are going to take the same hard points of the rear of the next Fusion and just design odd shapes that fit within the old design. That's pretty much what they did to the Focus as well.

Anyway, all this is not anything that will ever make me envious to wish I will have the newer model. The 2005-09 is a cohesive all in one design where the facelift just force fits a different look around the old one.

I'll have to see the finished product, because I am not "feeling it" right now.

When it comes to facelifts/refresh on the Mustang(1982-present), Ford has never let me down, but I am a little wary this time about the 2010.

I'm liking that car a lot. I hope they pay attention to the interior and make it look not so cheap.

+1,000,000,000! It does need some elegance to it. Little things like radio controls on the wheel and accents and highlights in stitching and two-tone stuff. Maybe more nooks-n-crannies to store things and organize. Less plastic?!?! Just throwin' that out there.
