The guy who took the pics had this to say.
Caught them coming on to I70W off of Chambers on my way home. I saw them in the turning lane, waiting to get on the on-ramp. I wasn't in the turning lane, so I blew through the light (yes it was green) and whipped a U-turn and actually got back onto the on-ramp before they did. I pulled over and waited for them to come by, snapped a few shots and then took off behind them. When they saw me taking pics, they all (5 in total) stomped on it and tried to lose me. Seriously! They immediately merged across 2 lanes, then YANKED it back across 2 lanes and across the solid white lanes to exit off the freeway again. The exit was actually a where I-225 merges with I-70, so we got right back onto I-70 and they proceeded to weave traffic, trying to loose me (or thats the way they usually drive, but I know they saw me with a camera).
What a hoot. Probably no major changes under the padding, but it was **** cool to see my first mules in person and then have them be a pack of Shelbys... so sweet! Sorry I didn't get more pics, but I realized that I was either going to kill myself or someone else by carrying on at that speed, WHILE taking pictures...

michigan plates. maybe the same cars weve seen for a while now. Probably testing long driving periods and mileage? Wish i was on that road trip. notice the top of the red has the white spotted camo? maybe signs of removing all the black covers?
I doubt it, a ducktail might add a bit more drag than they really care for, I'm convinced one of the reasons the GT/Shelby GT/Bullitt dont come with better rubber is partialy due to the increase in rolling resistance they possess (I know going from the 235/50R18 KDWS to the 255/45R18 KDW cut my mileage by about 1.5-2 mpg)
Good eye fastmover. These are definitely the least camoed(sic?) pics I've seen. Does seem to be SVT wheels and GT500 front end. Hope this means more powerplant and other info will begin to filter out as well.
The guy also mentioned:
I think they were Shelbys, if only because the front and rear vehicle actually weren't padded and were a black and a blue GT500. Plus they have the obvious front fascia and hood lines, wheels, C pillar and even the spoiler of a GT500. Not being argumentative, but I'm pretty sure that bad boys were Cobras. Not to mention they were DEFINITELY SC'd. That was evident the second they punched it when they saw me taking pictures!
I'm not saying that these aren't Shelby GT500's, but I don't know how anyone can definitively conclude that these are. To me (unless I'm missing something), they look identical to all of the other test mules out there. The A-pillar gauges are nothing new; they seem to be on almost every prototype these days.
hmm to bad it really seems that noone has even seen a gt mule yet....all the ones with dual exhaust have had the cobra fascia and other cobra qualities. Maybe they dont need to road test becaue of the same powerplant where as gt500 and 6cy are using different? I dunno it just seems wierd.

(unless he stumbled across a test mule for a variant we haven't heard of yet - which is doubtful)
