New Red 5.0, Anyone Here?

A friend of mine at work, just got back from a family gathering down in Mississippi. He brought back pics of theis new 5.0, said he believed the owners name was Jeff and lived in Pascagoula(sp). Can anyone on here claim this car that just happened to be at a gathering in Mississippi this past weekend? By the way, my friend at works name is Jason if this helps. This may not be anyone on this site, but I just thought I would check.

I'm probably late to the party on this, but I just noticed that the car in question uses struts to hold up the hood instead of the stick. And I'm pretty sure I've seen 5.0s with a stick, e.g., the review on Jay's Garage.

Wassup wit dat?

Maybe it's a premium thing. Didn't Leno have a base GT?

So much for that, I just want those space-age hood propies; don't know why I want them though.

All Mustangs come with the prop rod. I keep saying I am going to get rid of mine, would be one of the first mods to a new Mustang if I get one.

Apparently, the 5.0 in the OP's photo would disagree. Hmmmm.

I'm guessing the owner follows the Stinger1982 "I took delivery of the car and changed parts in 10 minutes" philosophy.

Those look like Redline Tuning struts. The CDC ones mount back where the hood bolts to the hinges.

Didn't come that way from the factory, those are aftermarket hood struts.

They make them for 2010 and those will be exactly the same for the 2011.

There are a number of companies offering hood strut kits.

Hell, you can make your own if you can do minor fabrication yourself.

Probably what I will do one day.
