I love how good the stock exhaust sounds on these new Mustangs. It seems as if the stock exhaust on my Cobra is quieter than my mom's Camry!

The more I think about it the more I think that if I buy an '11 GT or perhaps even the GT500 it would be the first Mustang that I'd be 100% satisfied with....perhaps the aftermarket is going to take a hit by how good everything on the '11 model is.

No need to swap out the exhaust, bigger wheels, freshen up the interior... it is all there! I sure hope this economy improves soon so more of us can actually enjoy this new Mustang and not just drool over the pics and spec sheets!

 

Believe me, the aftermarket won't skip a beat... in fact, in my (+12yr) experience, the aftermarket will grow... as long as people buy these cars, the aftermarket will make stuff.

 

i have a 2010 and the exhaust is perfect for me from the factory ford did some great work on these cards. by adding the sound insulation they could make it louder outside the car without becoming obtrusive. drone on a 30 degree winter morning on the way to an early 8am meeting would not be fun.

 

That is exactly what I'd want. If I were to buy one of these I'd probably not make a single performance mod until stuff actually needed to be replaced.

I know all to well about the obtrusive drone in a daily driver, Borla on the other hand makes a good cat-back...
