New front fascia?

I keep reading about a supposed "new front facia" for the 2011 GT. Looking at pictures of the '10 and '11 I'm not seeing any difference. I know the chin spoiler is a little deeper and some of the articles mention that separately. There's also the new "diaper" on the other end. Could they be confusing the front or the car for the rear?

I was thinking that the lower opening was wider on the 2011? I'm not sure though....

it's just the chin spoiler as you said. Which is in fact new, which therefore is a new front fascia.

Here's a quote from a new Motor Trend news article about the 2011 GT's fuel economy:

Engineers also installed a restyled front clip, taller air ****, rear tire spats, new underbody cladding, and rear decklid seal to provide a more aerodynamic form. A new electronic power steering assembly replaces the engine-operated hydraulic power steering pump and cuts its drag from the GT's efficiency equation.

Looks like the 2011 CS front Chin Spoiler should retrofit to a 2010 GT ...

Thumbs up

Or you could always get an aftermarket chin spoiler from CDC.

The CDC or Saleen front spoiler are in my wish list. But if the CS spoiler looks good I prefer OEM parts.

I'm hoping that you will be able to just remove the bottom part of the bumper cover and put in the California Special air dam, rather than replace the entire bumper cover. We ought to know in another month, I guess.

The CS fascia is a direct fit on a 2010 Mustang fascia. According to the parts catalog the front fascia has the same part number from 2010 to 2011.

Cool, I didn't think the parts catalog would be out until next month. Do you have a ballpark price?

To Convert the Base Gt Front End to Gt/CS You would need the Following.

Grille Shell
Grille
Grille Emblem
Lower Fascia
R&L Fog Lamp Inserts
R&L Fog Lamps
R&L Fog Lamp Piggs
Lower Belly Pan

Some Items are Priced at Ford Some are not. Availability will be mid next month.

So if the 2010 and the 2011 front fascia are almost the same would this Roush for a 2010 fit?

the roush kit replaces the entire front bumper, so it won't be a problem

I don't think it replaces the bumper does it? I looked at the instruction sheet and I didn't see that.

I think he meant the bumper cover, not the actual bumper.
