New Carbon fiber hood/mirror covers
Here are a few pics of my new Carbon fiber hood and mirror covers from Trufiber/Trucarbon.

I said I was not going to do any appearance mods, but you know how it goes

this is the SH GT hood in Carbon fiber

Install for the hood is pretty easy. 4 hood bolts, and unclip the two washer nozzle hoses. (May require two people to hold the hood up).

Thanks guys this is really quite a departure from my normal plane Jane look that I allways go with.I could not believe how light this hood was.

I was able tp pick it up with one hand and the fit was perfect.It is a direct replacement for the stocker and uses the factory hardware and latch so install was a breeze.

the mirror covers are fit over the stock ones so they have 3M tape and went on in seconds with a perfect fit also.

Sure looks KILLER!! Especially with those wheels.

?? Do you trust the "lightweight" of the hood, or are you going for some pins?

I trust it but I will use a good set of pins to be on the safe side.

Not that it matters to me a lot, but what is the difference in weight between the CF and the stocker hood?

Ever consider a CF spoiler? Would def round the look out nicely... I like it tho... And I'm typically anti CF... Peace

Just guessing I would say the CF hood is a good 10lbs lighter then stock

I may do a little more with the rear like a CF trunk or blackout panel not sure yet.

Metal mesh needs to be painted black asap.

Looks good. If you do the truck- IMO you have to do the roof as well.

ASD used to have one listed. (same company that makes the panels for the RTR) not sure if they still have it listed...

I'll get the mesh painted when I have a little free time and I like the roof but I'll most likely just do the blackout panel.

This whole idea is so out of character for me you have no idea lol

I've never done more then wheels as far as looks on any of my Mustangs because I'm more of a go then show type of guy.

Do you have a link to the TruCarbon mirror shells? I can't find them on their website.
