Smile New Axleback

I was looking on American Muscle's website and they have a new axleback! Has anyone heard of LTH? I included the link below. I want to know how it sounds!

I noticed that...they also have resonator-free OTA pipes...the only ones I'm aware of that are a direct replacement for the OE resonated ones, short of getting GT500 OTA's.

Either way, I like the satin finish.

Yes, too bad the OTA pipes are expensive. I think Borla makes OTA pipes also.

It says this is made by CPE. CPE is a big Mazdaspeed aftermarket company as well as Focus ST (motors are extremely similar)

Having come from the Mazdaspeed world before the mustang I can say they do have some decent products, though they were usually on the more expensive side. Also, they can take their sweet *** time developing new parts.

Based on the quality of the parts for the mazdaspeed, I would definitely give them a shot on the mustang.

That's cool that they made Mazdaspeed stuff. I've never heard of them! I just wish that American Muscle uploaded a video of what the exhaust sounds like.

I have the Kooks and they look nothing like this. The cans are much smaller.

I know no one prolly has these OTA pipes yet but does anyone have experience with deletting the resonators and having Roush OTA's? Once I saw these new pipes I considered getting them but dont want to create a sound that is too raspy. I would like a good muscular V8 note.

No Resonators and ROUSH AB is L O U D and obnoxious.....IMHO.
I have the Kooks AB and No resonators and it is perfect! With the resonators IN the Kooks is quieter than stock. I added the Kooks Shorty Headers and aftermarket H-Pipe to get the sound I liked.

Hey Red,

The LTH Axle-Back Exhaust is as new to us as it is to you!

They are indeed fresh onto the site but I was lucky enough to hear them personally and they do sound great!

They provide a deep aggressive sound without the dreaded drone that you get with some axle backs.

Keep your eyes peeled on the site, I can almost guarantee that some videos will be uploaded soon

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Gt500's without resonators still reigns in bang for your buck and sound. Borla S-types is the best out there but you pay for it. The gt500 -resonators is a very close second.

Hi Will,

Great to hear! Just waiting to hear how they sound so I can buy them!
What would you say the closest axle back is that sounds like the LTH axle back?

Hey Red,

No problem at all, that's what I'm here for!

If I had to put a name to it, I would say that it has the volume of a Corsa Xtreme Axle-Back with the tone closer to a Kooks Axle-Back.

It does sound great and it is definitely loud, I can't wait until you hear it!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

I'm trying to figure out what to do guys. I can't find a video of this new axle back online anywhere! I've searched everywhere but I guess these are so new that no one has them! What would you guys do? Would you take a chance and get these new axle backs or just get something else? I don't want to get them and not like the sound.

Also, do you think the over axle pipes are worth it? What are they for if I could just get a resonator delete from a muffler shop?
