Traction control button moved to center console, e-brake has a leather cover, center vents are square, so what year dash has round outside vents and square centers?
I think it looks a bit more Euro with some luxury additions, but some of the dash accents look Parnelli Jones style, kinda like Saleen would make.

Topnotch clearly hinted at the details in an old thread.
If you look closely, Ford dropped the large protruding gauge bezel pods and redesigned them to be flush like the three small gauges around the big ones in the 1967-68 models. The center vents are rectangular and high in the dash while there are round vents on the ends which were set low in the 1967-68 models. The center stack bezel in the old car goes up and around the top of the radio which is a theme that was picked up for the 2010. Also, the center stack curves into the console on the 2010 just like the 1967-68 one does.
There was no classic Mustang that had round vents in the upper center of the dash. 1967 was the first year vents were intergrated into the upper dash. The original 1964 1/2-66 model Mustangs had no vents in the dash at all. The airconditioner was a big unit installed under the center of the dash with four round openings.
So far I like the interior changes although I am still partial to the gauges and vents being as they are on my 08. The center stack and console are a nice redeisgn. The shifter boot and opening looks much better and the e-brake gets a boot, leather trim and a nice chrome button on the end. I also prefer the single round wiper/turn/dimmer stalk better than the funny looking dual square paddles my 08 has.
I also like the 2010's redesigned wheel spokes and extra grips molded in at 2 and 10 'o clock. Too bad the '08 doesn't have the wheel monted buttons.
I still don't care much about the 2010 exterior. From what I can see so far it doesn't look like something I wish I waited for.
It will be interesting to see how much of the new interior will retro-fit.

Anyone take a good look at this picture from jalopnik? When you go to the 1280, you can make out a good portion of the details of the front end through the camo! http://jalopnik.com/photogallery/201...thumb1280x1280
One thing is obvious...youre looking at a very high end model. leather wrap, all the gizmos, leather interior. SO it it possible that the dash is an upgrade, the three tone steering wheel could be an upgrade, leather wrap interior (e brake) could be upgraded. Or this may be a GT500 with the tach in the right place. Who knows

Anyone notice the antennae mounted in the rear. I hope that is production and not just for testing purposes. Not sure how it will look on the vert though. Isn't about time Ford embedded it into the windshield or other glass.

I remember when the 05 came out, people hated how they moved the tach/speedo.
Now they are just moving it back
I never cared. the gauge is there, don't care if I have to look left or right to see either.

The antenna in glass is a great idea, but if the window cracks and replacement is required, you MUST use Ford's glass replacement and we all know THAT will cost a fortune.
Also, I hate the steering wheel radio controls- the buttons are big, ugly and dual-layered?!? Isn't this for the year 2009 and not 1989?
They should put the radio controls BEHIND the steering wheel and leave the front design in a single-layer/column button design. Ford takes one step forward, one-and-a-half steps back, lol.
