Ok well if thats the case then I think your overpaying for the rim not so much the rubber. If it were me Id tell him 800 for rims keep the rubber if he doesnt take that then your better off. I did a quick check cant find these anywhere on the market but the market is flooded with SVT rims you dont HAVE to buy these and he HAS to sell so your in control here.
go get em!

Well if your serious about getting it all at once which is basically convenience the whole package is barely worth 1k so that being said I wouldnt pay a penny over 980 bucks.
The reason I say that is you can get a boat load of good rims off of a ton of sites for 1100 with new rubber new rims shipped to your door and balanced.
These rims are used if gently. Rubber has been sitting awhile so could be hard and go bad quickly we dont know if they need balanced. To top it all off its a local sale. What that means is he has a small market so since its all about convenience he should budge down to 980 or 990 and shake hands thats a relatively good deal on both ends. In my opinion

but to answer your question on why dump the rubber I was only saying that because you may not be in the market for rubber just rims and if you get a good enough deal on the rims you can get rubber it all balances out and comes down to how much your willing to pay and what your looking for. Personally He wouldnt be selling them to me because they arnt staggered and I dont think they will clear my brembo's so if you have a track pack car or brembo car you need to consider that.

GET IT. Just off the top of my head they were going for $2K a set before the other GT500 wheel styling started showing up.
Do a search here, and you'll see how much they've been going for. If I had the money I'd do it. You might be able to get some back if you sell your stock wheels and tires. These probably still have TPMS too.

Here's a post from 2011. Like I said, $2k.
The 18" non-forged version goes for $750 a set, but that's with no tires and no TPMS. The 19's are much better quality...
