Need help deciding next mods please

I currently have GT500's, MGW, and MRT hood struts.

I was thinking of the next few:

- FRPP 1.5" springs = $180 + ~$400 for install, $580 total
- Procal Tuner = $350 + $170 for install, $520 total
- GT500 rear splash guards
- GT500 rear spoiler/takeoffs = 3D Carbon, $200. (that black strip on the rear, that's not a brake light strip is it??? hence no wiring?) How about take-offs, where can I buy those???
- CS/GT fascia and Boss front lip = How much and where to buy?

How would you rank these 4 mods from which to get first, then last?

Personally, I am leaning towards the springs first, then tuner.... but I keep going back and forth. Thanks for help.

$400 for the install of springs is just ridiculous!! If you lived near me, I'd say bring over a 12-pack and we would knock them out in less than two hours.

Springs first.

X-Pipe. Preferably the O/R type if you don't have emissions to worry about. One of the cheapest HP to $$ ratio mods you can do. But you'll need the tuner to turn off your rear O2 sensors if you go with the O/R pipe.

Then intake and tuner. Are you stuck on the Ford tuner for warranty reasons?

Yeah I thought that cost was high for the install, but it includes an alignment. When I did springs for my other cars, I almost always needed an alignment Hence the 400.

I would love the O/R pipe, but I want to keep my cats, and definitely my warranty so no tune, except Ford Procal.

Is it a lifetime alignment? So when you change struts/shocks, etc. they will do it again?

And yes you'd need an alignment anytime you disassemble the suspension like that.

That's a good question on lifetime alignment... I can ask. My guess, it's 1 time only

Tuner is the way to go. Most people think of it strictly on power numbers, but the way it transforms the other aspects of the car are well worth it. No more skip shift, better throttle response, and more low end torque are going to all be things you notice. Everything else you can do after will only add to it.

You currently have the tuner on yours, overboost? I take it you love it? Yeah I am debating if I should do the install myself or dealer... doesn't the dealer have to do it to avoid voiding warranty?

What's a panhard bar Jamie? Forgive my idiocy.

FYI, I edited my first post to add GT500 splash guards... I forgot about those!!! Are those cheap?

Ford Racing used my car for development, so it was installed by a dealer/authorized shop.

A panhard bar will re-center the rear axle once you drop the car. The stock one is a fixed length for the OEM ride height, and is too long once the car is lowered. An adjustable bar allows you to dial this back in, no matter how much of a drop you add.

The GT500 splash guards are a must IMO. I suggest you do those no matter what.

Springs and spoiler. I paid $80 to have my springs installed, only 1 hr labor. I only went 1" front and 1.25" rear and didn't need an alignment. Still drives straight 6 months later. I would reccommend a panhard bar too, that's on my to-do list.

This. Some people lower their cars and don't install one and their rear end is off. Since you're looking to lower 1.5", I highly recommend you install an adjustable one.

I'd have the tune installed first, but $170 is nuts. Initial load takes about 20 minutes, start to finish. I can't see them charging more than an hour labor. And for warranty to apply, you have to have them install.

I had the Power Upgrade pkg installed as an accessory and they charged me $100/labor. That included installing the GT500 mufflers.

Just ordered my FRPP - K springs! They arrive Saturday or Monday! The deal was too good to pass up. I decided to go with springs first due to price and looks. After xmas, I might have enough anyways to get the tuner as well...

Will post updates once springs have been installed and aligned.

So does that mean you're going to call me so I can assist in the install?

I'll be in Marion from Friday until Monday morning. Leaving for Chicago then.

Hey Jamie!!! Haha... heck, I'm not even doing the install on my own... I am not even attempting this. I have no spring compressors, nor do I have air tools. I am just having a buddy at Meineke do it. 250, includes alignment. Can't beat that.

Thanks for offer though!!!

About the panhard bar... Is this ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to install with my Ford k springs? I would think not. Aren't there folks here who have k springs and stock everything else? I will get an alignment for sure.

The panhard is not necessary, but reccommended to re-center the rear axle once your lowered. I didn't think I needed one because I only went 1.25" in the rear, but it's still not centered. It's on my to-do list. If you're having a shop do your springs, you might as well get one and have them do it at the same time.
