I'm the proud new owner of this sweet 5.0! The car is gorgeous. I can't believe how new it feels. The original owner was in the service, overseas when he ordered it. He only drove it on weekends, which explains the low miles. Knowing that this car came from a true hero makes it just a little sweeter.

Got my phone sync'd... just trying to figure out how to stream Bluetooth audio.

Thanks to all for you help and guidance.

Congrats!!
You're going to love it.

First drive into work today and I got 19.6 mpg (according to the lie-o-meter). I'm happy with that... my Jeep was getting 14 mpg in addition to having a much higher payment. So I think this is going to work out nicely!

BTW... I live in a suburb and work in a different suburb about 18 miles away. The route between these two suburbs is all back roads. Looks like this...

If your device is connected via Bluetooth, just hit the Sync button and say "bluetooth audio." Done!

LOL... aint that the truth!

Fortunately, I'm not planning much...
  • Exhaust (thinking Flowmaster Hushpower axleback)
  • Cold Air Intake (no clue)
  • Boss shift ball (this metal shifter is soooo cold)

I was thinking about going to 20's, but despite my best efforts of searching on this site, I haven't seen any that I like better than these 19's.

The other consideration was factory NAV (saw a recent thread where a guy figured it out). I guess I'll wait and see if I can manage the user experience without the big screen. If so, I might instead decide to upgrade the speakers/amps.

We'll see... when I get a new car I always set aside a little mod budget... $1,800 in this case. That doesn't go far. I've even had cars before where I never dipped into the mod money.

Grats! It looks like an excellent car. Remember you can still install some aftermarket Nav units. The factory Nav, while it looks good, isn't too spectacular, especially with the lack of updates for Sync.

Maybe the best tip yet! I did this when I got to the car last night, and instantly was able to enjoy the audio book I'm currently engrossed in.

I'm pretty pleased with Sync so far. And I'm getting a new cell phone tomorrow (Galaxy Note II). So I may just get a mount for that and pass on the Nav upgrade.

Here's another random question... Have any of you upgraded to the GT500 steering wheel? I see them on eBay for about $300. I'm a sucker for a thick steering wheel. Is the GT500 wheel thicker than the GT Premium wheel that I have? Or is the only difference the suede inserts? Also, does my GT Premium wheel have any value in the classified section to help offset the cost?

There is a guy sell one in the classified section here for $260. GO NOW!

You can pick a GT500 wheel for 155 bucks and sell your old one for the same. Even swap.

They are basically the same wheel except for the suede insert wrap. Same thickness. I just picked one up this month.

How do you like it? Does the suede get messed up at all?

I believe the rules of the universe state that until you post pictures you can't discuss your new wheel.

LOL...
I think we should hold everyone to that rule. Until you post a pic of something, you're not allowed to talk about it.

How are your girlfriends and wives doing?

I'm almost tempted to reply "Avoid V6's" just to spite you. But I won't because I'm not that kind of guy...

FYI, plenty of 2011 owners here that are very happy with their vehicles, with little to no problems/issues whatsoever. Just have to do research and inspect the car well, particularly with history....whenever buying used.

Havent installed it yet but it's the same suede as the Boss wheel. I've heard only good things about the suede. Of course, oily or dirty hands will eventually take a toll.

"Avoid V6s" is innuendo and you know it.

Even typing that rhetorically, the insult was still delivered.
Same thing as if I went up to you and said " if I didn't know you, I think you were an ugly little fock."

Seriously man, this is how good threads get closed. Think about the worms before you open the can.
