I can not wait to get my car! This is the first time I've ordered a new car (my only other new car was a Toyota Yaris I drove before I joined the Army), and the longest I've ever had to wait to get one. I'm excited!

Since you're in the Army, do you take delivery of it in Italy?

 

It's going to be tough to find a dealer out here in Afghanistan for me to listen to it.

My brother-in-law is an audiophile and he's been in a car with one. He said it's sounds good for a stock system. I'm not a huge audiophile, but it seems like a decent upgrade over the 500 on paper at least. I've never upgraded my sound system in any car I've owned, so it's unlikely I'll start now. Thanks for the advice though.

Yes and no, my car will actually be delivered to the Army in Baltimore, and then it'll be shipped to me in Italy.

I wasn't going to get the glass roof at first, but I read the thread about it on here and then looked at a lot of pictures on the web and the deal was sealed. I think it will be awesome.

Honestly the 1000 is so far not worth it, it's not even funny man. It's crap. Save your money and add on aftermarket stuff later. The 500 is good enough to start. The 1000 is barely louder than the 500, and the bass is super muddy. Trust me. I worked at a custom stereo installation center that had 25+ cars featured in Car Audio Mag....

 

I've got a 2011 on order, too, and I consider the glass roof a must. I've continuously had cars with either glass T-Tops or a transparent targa top since 1987. I can live without the ability to open up the top but I really do enjoy being able to see the sky and won't give that up. Had Ford not brought out the glass roof option, I would just keep driving my current car until another glass-roofed car caught my eye.
