Hi all I just joined this forum. And wanted to say hi I just got my new GT last night. And I am in heaven. It's black with the brick red/cashmere interior. I am getting it striped this week. I do have a question for u guys. Can you give me some advice on tuners for this car?. The pros and cons? And what would be some good mods to start off with? Thanks Rick

 

Welcome and post some pics. First Mod should be tint followed by...is it a manual or auto?

 

Congrats! My first suggestion is exhaust - I have the Roush and love it but it is loud!

Add for tuner, I'd drive it a couple thousand miles to break it in and determine if you still want a tune then. Pros are power/throttle response. Cons are possible warranty denial/issues with the tune. I'm not tuned but if or when I do I'm going aed.

I was thinking of exhaust as one of my first mods,, Is there any big differences with axle back vs cat back? I like Borla my friend has it on his vette, and it sounds awesome.

NO WAY! I take it you bought that very fine ride at Orange Ford? I was literally a signature away from buying that exact car from **** Cooper there, ended up bringing a kona blue one up from South Hampton instead. Looks great, glad it found a good owner, haha

EDIT: I'd also like to point out that the forum censored my Ford salesman's name... short for Richard... four letters, hahahaha

On this GT. it has nice options compared to a base premium and I picked it up for less. I'm happy .

 

It was hard to walk away from that one, I ended up with the exact same options minus the aluminum shift ****, save for the different color combo. I'm from Cambridge, about an hour north of Albany in the Battenkill Valley, but currently finishing out school in Providence, RI. I come back upstate fairly frequently, if it coincides with a Guptill's cruise in or something we should definitely go!

If you're concerned about your warranty, be careful what you modify. The first thing I want to do is get my windows tinted. Next will be a set of Weather Tech floor mats for the front.

Thanks I have been reading about voiding the warranty. I really wanna get a tuner from American muscle. I read u can put it back to stock if need be

 

Ford can tell if it has been tuned. Even if you put it back to stock.
