Well, either way, wish me luck guys. Here I go again with my fogs.

 

Update: 8/25/2014

My "vendor", who shall remain nameless (until the product is complete, shipped, installed on my car, and works), had some updates for me today.

My stock fogs that I shipped to him were received today.

He already had the Halo COB's sitting and waiting for my fogs to arrive. Talk about planning ahead and having things ready.

He plans on working on the lights today, and having them COMPLETED by tonight.

You guys know what all this means right? I'm sitting here shaking my head...in disbelief. I reserve final elation until it's all done, for sure. But just think about it for a few seconds.

HIDGUY took over 6 weeks to get the $hit to my door. And within those 6 weeks, was lack of communication, rudeness, vagueness, and of course, upon the receipt of the product, I was greeted with $hit in all aspects (product quality, workmanship, and of course, customer service).

This new vendor is getting it done for me in 6 hours. 6 hours. From receipt of my fogs, to being done with it (if all goes well). Hey, I tell you what, at least he's communicating. He'll text me pics as he goes along today. I'll regurgitate them here.

Once this is all done, I'll have a new thread dedicated to this new vendor...if it goes well, I want to bring him new business.

15 minutes in, and he already has the 1st one opened up and ready for install. Sigh... why didn't I know about this guy 8 weeks ago. I would have had these installed for the last 2 months. LOL.

A stock one, at that. Well, stock for power, except for KN and lighting (duhhh, of course he'd have that upgraded). From my interactions with him, he's an honest straight up, no nonsense guy. The kind of guy you want to do business with. Lol.

So, updates from yesterday...

He got the COB's on last night and was ready to seal everything. Here's a pic of them installed and "on".

 

Then we discussed, and we decided to switch gears a tad. We wanted to tie in my dark front theme even better, to go with my smoked/black chrome look. So he specializes in dechroming and hydrodipping, so we dechromed the fogs:

He's finishing install today, and hopefully ship tonight or tomorrow. I can't wait to get these puppies on.

Then ordering Lamin X lightest tint, for protect lenses for fogs, headlights, sidemarkers. Tie the front end together more.

My car is slowly turning so eeeeevil. So dark. I'm completing my transformation to the dark side...

 

Good idea to dechrome the fogs, they look soon much more sinister.

 

thanks Nick. I'm eager to see these babies on. With the lamin x stuff too, will be even better.

 

Any idea how hot the fogs get? My Clear Bra guy didn't want to put anything over them for fear it would melt and discolor. He showed me burned film they had removed from other fogs and told me if I wanted him to do it for me I was on my own if it burned. I left them unprotected for now.
