Are my headrests adjustable?

I have my seat backs adjusted where I need it. The headrests could move back a little. I didn't think you could, see a Adjustable Head Restraint on something I've pulled up. Is that the headrests? Maybe I can? Thanks!!

Is that English perhaps not maybe English as a second language maybe just bad grammar? perhaps just misplaced punctuation? random stream of thought?

Head rests are adjustable vertically only.

For horizontal adjustment, you would need to remove it and bend the supports.

English is my 1st language, but not really. See I was in a bad ATV wreck that left me in a coma for 3 months. I now have a traumatic brain injury that literally threw away all I knew. I had to relearn how to do everything. Some things I knew how to do, just had to learn a new way to do it. Yeah, lost most of my vocabulary!! This has been 8 years. Think of me right out of the hospital. I think stuff right, usually. I can't get it from my sucky brain out to my fingers to type. I am trying my hardest to make some sense! Please give me a little help. See ya & thanks!!

He had a severe brain injury in the past...please cut him some slack, it's obviously not from lack of trying I've noticed that your writing is actually getting better, Eli.

If you are talking about how the headrests are slightly forward, it's not just you. That's the way they are. I think it's for crash safety?

Yes, it is, I think something the government rather mandated. It's set forward to help protect against whiplash.

Eli, I have read that the Head rest from a Taurus X will fit in the holes and are an inch or so further back and there was a replacement at SEMA that TMI has out that is a lot more adjustable.

Thanks! I use the search feature more than any of y'all know. Once I hear/read stuff, it's like I never saw it! Thanks for noticing I am getting better, I think I am. I thought I about knew it all on my 95. Now, have to relearn just about every thing!!

I don't sit straight back while driving, usually. Say in a 60 mile trip, I rest my head back maybe twice? It barely hits the headrests. It's 100% OK, thanks again!!

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound harsh. I was actually trying to be funny but I guess it didn't come across that way.

That Taurus head rest sounds like the perfect fix to anyone who doesn't like the new "lean forward" style. I personally have gotten so used to it, I hate riding in cars that don't have it, haha. At first I hated it so much!

I read that 05-09 headrests do not fit 10+. Can someone confirm?

yeah I thought I read that somewhere too

I was one of the biggest complainers about the headrest angle but I've become more comfortable with it over time . . . but still interested in some more vertical replacements . . .

(for the punctuation/grammar police, internet etiquette says run-ons and fragments are OK if you use the " . . . " in the middle )

Yes. I read that 05-09 headrests don't fit 10+ because of different post. But that one comes from MRT, I hope this IMT one in the picture work. According to my faint memory, MRT is working on something to fit 10+ mustangs.

I e-mailed MRT last night about this. I'll post their response here if I get one.

As promised, here is their reply

Yes, we are currently in the process of starting to make the 2010+ headrests like the ones we featured on our 2011 5.0 SEMA Car....the price will be approx $199.99-$249.99, depending on final pricing as well as material (leather versus vinyl, versus cloth, etc).
