Is my batterry dead?

I haven't driven or started my car in about a month now. It has always been on a trickle charger the whole time though. When I tried starting it today, it won't even turn the engine. I hooked it up to my other car. It turned very slowly, but it eventually started. I then disconnected it from the other car. I ran the engine in the garage for about 20 minutes. When i turned it off and tried restarting it again, the same thing happened. I again hooked it up to my other car. It again turned the engine very slowly but it started. Is my battery dead? I bought the car new in May 2014 but it only has 14k miles in it.

Sounds about right. Mine had always been kept charged. I had to replace mine late last summer. Had about 15k on my 2014 that was bought 10/13. These batteries just do not like to sit even when maintained. I figure it is part of the cost of not piling on the miles. I plan on replacing mine again in about 3 more years. I also had to replace the insulation wrap around the battery. The acid had made it very fragile. Crumbled when I took the battery out.

Sounds like the battery won’t maintain a charge any more. Time for a new one.

When I stored mine for the winter I would disconnect the negative terminal, and the day I get it out of storage put it on a charger for 1h or so. Always fired right up.

Batteries are expensive, you should probably trade the car in on a 2018 GT with a 10 speed automatic.
