I JUST BOUGHT A 2010 MUSTANG V6 AND I COME TO FIND OUT IT DOESNT HAVE MYCOLOR!!

WHY DOES FORD DO THIS? I THOUGHT ALL NEWER MODELS CAME WITH IT INSTALLED?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO INSTALL MYCOLOR OPTION?

MyColor only comes w/ the premium package... I think.

It'll require a new instrument cluster for about $300 + a new headlight switch assembly so you have the info center buttons. I haven't done this myself... yet.

I say invest in a GT500 steering wheel instead

 

Mine doesn't have it either. You have to get the premium package to get the my color feature. It's a pretty useless option anyway. Everyone I know that has it just picks a color they like and never touch the thing again.

 

Actually i change it for each girl who comes into my car. I ask them their favorite color and they always get a kick out of it

I have it but like the factory 'blue' sitting and have never changed it

 

I tried setting it to red like my T/A but it sucks. I was expecting dark background with red markings and needles which is great for maintaining night vision but instead the gauge background is entirely red making it difficult to read. I ended up switching to white to provide better contrast.

I changed mine to a medium blue, and haven't touched it since. It looks good, so why mess with it?

 

I don't often change it myself, but I do actually like it.

Do non-premium cars have Ambient lighting ??

 

No, V6 Premium, GT Premium and GT500 have ambient lighting.

 

OK ... That's what I thought ... some folks in this thread were discussing MYCOLOR (Dash Cluster) ... and other folks were talking about changing Ambient Lighting color. They are different things ... but both part of the Premium package.

 

I change it all the time. Matter of fact, my guages will now be purple and gold since Lakers season is starting again

 

I change mycolor all the time keeps things "new" in the interior, currently purple lol

On the MyColor topic, I set it once in the dealer's lot and haven't touched it since.
