The Mustang in TV commercials?
The Mustang in TV commercials?
Has anyone noticed that you don't see very many commercials where the Mustang is used to help sell a product? It seems I always see the Camaro and/or Charger *****-ing itself out hocking some product, but I don't really see the Mustang doing that (in the DC area anyway).
Kind of nice...

Tony Stewart pimps some sort of product and uses his Chevy's to do it. I think it's a car care product. STP (I think that's the brand) uses a Challenger to tell their story about the "left lane club." Hard to argue with that, because instead of actual speed, they use looks to describe what a "left laner" will drive. If the Challenger weren't so boatish, I'd probably own one. It's my wife's favorite car, and it's gorgeous.
The mustang isn't being used to sell a lot of things, but Ford sure is carpet-bombing the ad space with the C-max, fusion and focus. When the next-gen comes out, and if it's as popular as Ford hopes it to be, there will be performance products that want to use it as a backdrop.
