Mustang GT Coyote engine click or tick solved
Before and after supercharging my 2013 GT I had a clicking or ticking noise.
When I used the oil heavier then 5W20 it would happen. You can use 5w20 with a supercharged engine. In fact the crank case was designed for it per one tech at Steeda. There are higher pressures and heat, but the metal in there was designed for a certain type.
Many tech's say to use a heavier oil with supercharged like the Cobra oil, but the Cobra has different internals than the GT
I just plan on changing it more often.
Preventing an engine click or tick has got to be a good thing.

What's the stock weight oil again? I thought it was 5W20... mine definitely ticks and clicks with Ford's recommended dino juice blend cocktail.
For the record, I have been having the Stealership do my changes. I get them done way more frequently than recommended, they do it cheaper than I could do it myself...annddd I don't have to dispose of the used oil...a hassle I've been dealing with since I was a teenager many moons ago.
