I have notice that boss owners are jumping off the boss gravy boat fast.
by turn over I mean buying the car and then selling it. I know its silly that I of all people bring this issue up but...

Can't say I've really paid that much attention as to who's keeping/selling.
Mustangs like the Boss though...........I'd have thought/hoped people would be keeping hold of those. 40+ years was a long time to wait for those to come around again and we may not see there likes again.
I'm not talking about monetary value......just the fact that the 2012/13 Boss Mustangs are not only possible the best "balanced" Mustang ever, but hark back to a very specific golden age of Mustang history.
For me, the 2013 Boss is the pinnacle and I'd want to keep one forever.

todays cars, all disposable....even ferrari comes with a 7 yr warrenty now and traction control for snow/wet weather.
i would think Boss owners are no different thant shelby owners, or v6 owners....we like the brand, the car and enjoy it for pleasure.
i would have preferred the shelby vert, but my wife cant drive stick...therefore auto gt it had to be for a daily driver. I plan on 2 -3 yrs max, see what the 2014/15 looks like to decide....whether i had a shelby or boss, wouldnt matter , the new model would be more key to me....this is why i think it doesnt matter if boss owners flip out more than others.
kind of hard not to switch out of the older model to get into the new model , if you have the means for it

To a certain younger age group cars are just another fad, like parachute pants long hair and 3D televisions. They purchase these me too products to fit with the in crowd, and when they have had their fill of it or lose interest they simply fade away. A real car guy or Enthusiast knows what he/she has and is likely to keep it longer and take better care of it.

I traded my Boss because (a) I was having oil consumption issues and (b) we needed a suv more than i needed a $45k car to sit in the garage until I had time off from work to drive it. I loved the Boss but it was aggravating being told to bring it in every 1k miles to top off the oil or else risk losing my warranty if something happened to the motor.
I am now in a better position to purchase another mustang and chose to go with base GT with performance options instead of another Boss and saved myself about $13k.
That being said.... there are Boss owners getting rid of their 2012 to get a 2013 Boss and probably more 2011-2012 owners trading up to 2013. I think those are the most fickle groups. Not that it is a bad thing.....

The first Mustang I bought was a used 1966 fastback back in the early 70's when I was a teenager. I gone through many cars, including many non-Fords. However, Mustangs have always been my favorite. Below is a list of all the Mustangs my wife and I have owned just since 2001. The 2006, 2011 and 2012 are still part of our family. I guess I belong to several "Mustang groups". I just can't decide which one is more fickle.
TB 2001 Bullitt GT
DSG 2003 Mach1
Black 2005 GT
TR 2006 V6 Pony Pkg
VB 2008 Shelby GT
GB 2011 V6 MCA
CO 2012 Boss 302

I think ford got alot of new buyers from other brands and a few groups that thought they were buying a new legend that would some day have them on stage at BJ.
