When TN posted the still from the video, I was disappointed. That particular Mustang just didn't do it for me.
However, now that I've seen the whole advert, I think makes perfect sense, and the ad is great. There really IS a Mustang out there for everyone. In fact, in that advert there were TWO Mustangs jsut for me......the GHIG Boss 302 and the Black GT500

But I liked the commercial. The mustang has always allowed for people to make them their own, in their own way. And it's the MUSTANG!! What's not to like. There will always be things that don't look right, but given time, things have a tendency to grow on you.
Too bad I can't purchase one every year!
I don't like this ad at all. I think the cars look fine, except for the red V6 which looks like a 4X4. What were they thinking? It looks awful with all that chrome and the $100 wheels. That will make plenty of people happy they bought a V6 Camaro instead, which looks a ton better. There's too much focus on the lady in tall red boots, and the young girl. At the end of the ad, I'd forgotten they had 2 guys in the video. Also, in this age where any car can be customized to your liking, this just doesn't cut it. Sure it's a Mustang, but it's not showing me anything else about the car that would really make me wanna buy it. Poor, just poor.
I love the front end of the '13 but that red stang truly looks awful. In the video it actually didn't look terrible as they were doing the color change and the rims and wheels looked black....but yea not a great showcase mustang.
I know showing "performance" cars actually driving at speed is not PC, but whatever happened to the great old commercials, like the one for the T-Bird Turbo back in the '80's...running through the hills at speed.
This commercial is most likely aimed at ordinary car buyers, not the people on this forum. Ford needs to sell a lot of base cars, so we can still buy the ones we want.

But I'd still like to see a Steve McQueen-esque commercial, like an updated (and longer) version of the Cop Car Chase one.

Seven years ago and the economy was much better off. That kind of commercial had a lot more appeal then than it would today. People see $ signs leaving their pockets with that kind of ad today.
