To me this says...we'll be seeing a turbo 4 cylinder in the mustang sooner than expected to gain a new customer base

I was going to say "who cares" until I noted that the next Camaro will have a smaller steering wheel. That's a game changer, for sure. Looks like I'll have to trade in my sexy 2011 GT for one of those laughably butt-ugly batmobiles now, cause I loves me some tiny steering wheel.

Where is that damned sarcasm smiley?

I don't think this will change the timeline.
We still have yet to see what the final 2013 will be like, that in itself could drum up sales prior to the next gen.

I'd rather they not rush it a year.

The second-largest U.S. automaker is working ....... while its designers prepare for a new version in 2014 to restore its cachet.
Looks like that 10/11 'S197D' body refresh wasn't so effective after all - in spite of the 11's fantastic 300+ HP V6 and the superb 400+ HP 5.0 power plants.

Maybe Ford will do some of those 'blind taste tests' - and listen to them -next time.
