I'm sorry to see Alloy go; I was considering that as my next color.

I'm going to need my Screaming Yellow back if I get a Boss!!! How can you have a Boss and no Screaming Yellow?! It's insanity I tell you!

The 2010 is just not doing anything for me. The possible color choices seem far too limited and just more of the same. "Boring" is the word I use to describe this "refreshing".

re: low color choices, grays and such...
The reason these colors are usually always available is the same reason that interiors are limited to 2 or 3 choices in colors:
The cars *aren't ordered by the public*, by and large. They are ordered by the dealerships, which want to have generically sellable cars. Orange with black stripes, black wheels, and tan interiors do not appeal to everyone, whereas blue with gray, or black with black, or white with gray/tan/black is sellable to anyone who just shows up on the lot.
That's not to say that there's not ordered cars, by no means, but the reality is that dealerships are Best Buys, and whatever's on the lot is what they *MUST SELL*. They actually buy them, and then sell them to us. Therefore, it makes sense to not have a plethora choices to confuse the buyer in any way, but a reasonably sellable amount of cars with as few choices as possible (hence the 'we have 90% of what anyone would want on the car with one package' thing) so that the customer can pick between, oh, 3 different packages and 8 different colors, on the lot, rather than ala carte the items (Power windows without power locks, say, or no alarm system) and have to hunt down or order a car. Or worse, have a customer who takes up several hours of a sales person's time deciding on what to do... the 'up' is that guy's responsibility until the deal is done or the up leaves.
The last reason is cost, esp. with things being prepainted/built before they show up for assembly. Colorings *must match*. Difficult enough with 8-10 colors... 26? Right.
Limiting things to a few items instead of dozens Limits choices and saves some costs. That's why the colors are limited to the shades of white/gray and a select few others, interiors are in 3 colors max, and there's only 2 engines and 2 trannies to select from. All to make it as smooth as possible.
Of course, if the dealership doesn't have it, they will go find it and dealer trade the thing, if need be. If they can do that, it's better than if they have to actually order one and not sell any unit off the lot.
That's it, in a nutshell.
Oh, and the article is just showing the obvious carry over colors, there will be 4 more at least, I'm betting. Including the lovely Embergloish color.
/'course, in this sluggish time for cars, the factories are now shoving vehicles into dealerships which simply cannot move them. Lovely when that happens.
//Y'all go out and buy a car, and encourage others to do so, so this economy can get movin' again, k thx.

You Would Have Thought My Mom Was Looking For Some Crazy Color And Option Combination Like Screaming Yellow With Red Leather, And Base Trim, The Way They All Acted. (Sorry, It Just Hit Me, That Combination Sounds Like Ronald McDonald's Dream Car. LOL)
What She Was Looking For Was A Windveil Blue GT, Automatic, With Gray Leather Interior, And The IUP, So It Had Aluminum Dash Trim And The Black Inserts In The Doors. We Litterally Drove All Over Florida Searching For That Combination For MONTHS, And I Searched All The Dealers Data Bases.
All The Dealers Told Her They Wouldn't Be Able Sell A Mustang GT In That Color Combination, With That Trim. Now Mind You, This Was Right After the 05's Came Out And They Couldn't Keep GT's On The Lot, They Were Selling So Fast. But They Kept Offering To Order Her One. Which You Would Have To Know My Dad To Understand Why They Wouldn't Just Order It.
Finally After Searching For 7 Or 8 Months After She Had Given Up Looking For One, They Just Happened To Be Driving Down The Street In Lakeland And They Saw A Windveil Bue GT At The Ford Dealer. My Dad Asked Her If She Wanted To Go Back And Look At It, And She Said No It Probably Wouldn't Have The Options She Wanted. But He Turned Around Anyway.
Low And Behold The Dealer Had Just Gotten It That Morning. Someone Had Ordered It And Their Financing Fell Through Last Minute. The Dealer Litterally Told Her They Would Have Never Ordered One Like That, But That It Had Been The Nicest Combination Thay Had Seen, And After Seeing It They Would Be Ordering Quite A Few More Just Like It.
The Only Thing She Didn't End Up Getting, That She Originally Wanted, Was The Bullitt Wheels, She Got The Newer Style 5 Spokes, Which She Decided She Liked Better Anyway. But It Just Goes To Show, The Dealer Would Have Never Orderd It Because They Couldn't See What It Would Look Like Together, In Their Imagination. But It Turned Out They Ended Up Ordering Quite A Few More And Couldn't Keep Them On The Lot.
BTW, These Pic's Were Taken Right After She Got It, And It Currently Still Has Less Than 3000 Miles On It!

Here's Some Pic's Of A Vapor Silver GT With The Red Steering Wheel. This Actually Looks Like The Car You Are Wanting Cheese302. Vapor Silver GT, Red Leather, And The Glass Top. You Can Even See The Red Interior Through The Windshield Too If You Look Closely..

And i'm sure all the other Candy Apple (aka Sangria Red) people will agree... adding some metal flake to Torch Red woould not cut it as a Candy Apple Red.
