Mine's hit the rails! ETA 5/7
Mine's hit the rails! ETA 5/7
My ETA was bumped from Tuesday to Friday but the good news is that it's moved off of Ramp 51 and is on a rail car heading to Chicago!

I hope that you get it very, very soon. It would SO suck to be on the wrong end of a delay.
Also, I just want to say that I absolutely love your '65. My mom had a '67 289 Coupe Deluxe that I snuck out of the driveway in the wee hours to teach myself how to drive back in the '70s. I've never lost the desire to have a '67. Alas, mom sold it unbeknownst to either me or my sister because both of us wanted the car. *sigh*
Way to keep us from fighting, mom. It should have stayed in the family.

First rep I called gave me just "it's in transit" and not even an ETA.
Second rep was a lot more enthusiastic and gave me the info that its been loaded on a rail car and that my ETA was 5/7. He then also gave me a certificate number for that $750 discount. Real sweet.

Thanks, it's an expensive thing to have, but I like it.

Well I called again just to see if anything has changed and now my ETA is 5/14 and still in transit. Who knows if the rail delivery is going slow or it never really was loaded on the train.
I'm getting too obsessed with all this that I'm just going to not worry about it and just wait for my salesman to call and tell me to come pick it up. It's giving me stress over something silly. It will get here when it gets here, lol.
I remember putting an 05' order in right when the order banks opened. After 5 months of waiting for a VIN I ended up buying one from another dealer who happened to ship one up from Mississippi that was almost the exact setup I wanted. At least now I know that its been built and will eventually make it to my garage.

I just called the dealer for an update and the delivery date moved from 5/8 to 5/26 (first date 4/8, second 4/26, then 5/8). It was built around 4/8, so there must be a real log jam. Not surprising given the pictures at the AAI lot someone posted a couple of weeks ago! Is yours a manual? My dealer also entered it as a stock order rather than retail. Yours??
My car will likely have the same delivery route as yours. Mine has the same ETA and left on the rails on the same day. Mine is also a GT/CS. I'm in Maryland so it will likely arrive a day or so after yours does. Please let me know when your car arrives.
