MGW Shifter is here!

After a 2 month long wait... my MGW shifter has arrived! Yes, my car is not here yet (next week), but now I have these and my GT500's waiting to be installed the minute the car arrives. I am really impressed with these pieces. It's one thing seeing it in vids and pics, another just holding them in my hands. Superbly built. Kudos to MGW. I also got the shift **** and heat shield.

One thing I did notice though, I did not have a video installation CD as promised. Did any of you who got theirs got a CD with it? I might have to call MGW Monday.

BTW, I read the instructions that came with it, and also watched the videos 2x now in the past. I might have to watch it again, but I'm a little worried with how complicated this install might get. I have ramps and jack stands and a buddy, so I hope to get this done in an afternoon. (George said 1-1/2 hours...yeah right... for a pro maybe...lol) I do know when I'm done though, this will be well worth it.

(Dan, Steve, if you're reading this, I'll let you know if this is worth the $$$ )

Feels like one too!

Anyone else have theirs yet? I watched the vids again and it actually doesn't look that bad. No lift for me tho. I must make do with ramps and stands.

That's the reason why I got it. All stellar reviews from past users. Not one single negative comment. You should order one now!

I think they're listed at $375. A bit more than the Steeda or Barton units, but this is also a complete replacement, not just the shifter assembly.

I think ur right overboost. Complete replacement. We do reuse the oem sounddeadening, material, pivot cup, and a washer/screw or two.

From what I read, just the sound deadening and the pivot cup are reused. They give you additional deadening material in the kit. I'm interested to see if someone with MT82 issues tries this shifter and if it improves or not. There's some thought that the shifter may be a big part of the problem, and this thing certainly looks like it's built right.

U have one of the new batches just recently sent out? How was the install? How long? And yeah George said the spring should break in after 500 miles. It's supposed to feel "tight"...with a great snap to center feel

No I was one of the 1st 50 group (testers) . It's fairly easy to put in just getting the boot in place is fun. Now I got upgrade boot from MGW free because we was the test group.

Very cool man. Yeah, I think the first 50 had 3 bolt studs that hooked into the swing arm, while mine has 4. Also, you have 2 red bushings by the pivot cup, while I have one red, one white. I know it's sad that I have this memorized by now. I watched the video 3 times already, and read the instructions front to back like 5 times. I am READY for this install. Bring it on.

So how do you go about getting one of these? I see the MGW website doesn't have a 'buy' option on it.
