Did anyone notice how much that stang pulled on the camaro in the beginning montage?
I totally noticed the glass roof disappears on the outside view of the car haha...

That video was **** poor. Was he driving a 2010 and just cutting to previously recorded scenes of a 2011?...I think so.

Yeah, his review of the V6 was much better.

Really? I got my CS brand new last May, and it was stickered at $32K (not what I ended up paying however... ). $10K more for essentially 100 more HP and a few other bells and whistles? No thanks.

Still, I think it's the right move for Ford, both with the GT and V6 offerings.

How do you know he was driving a 2010? It sure didn't sound like one.

If you look closely, you can see the grabber blue reflection in the area between the window glass and driver's side mirror. He's most likely driving the grabber blue glass-roof featured at the beginning of the video, the GT/CS footage is all B-Roll.

More importantly, WHO CARES

I have read several reviews and watched numerous videos of the 2011 and not once have I seen anyone complaining about or for that matter ever even mentioning the skip-shift feature on the 6-speed Getrag. In this video it sure didn't sound like he was pushing it at every shift either. What's up with that?

If you go hard enough in first gear the skip shift is defeated, it only comes into play if you take off in first at light throttle.

And for most of the road time in the video, he was rowing between 2nd, 3rd and 4th so the skip shift was negated.

I suppose that could be true. But I would have to believe that feature must not be the monster some people have been making it out to be since not one road test I have seen has even mentioned it.

Yes, I think a lot of people are way too worried up about it. My 2000 Corvette has this "feature" and about the only time it kicks in is when the light turns green and there are four slow cars in front of me. I can't promise that the unit in the Mustang is tuned the same way, but in my Corvette it only kicks in when I'm accelerating at Grandma speed. I owned the car for most of a year before I noticed it and was a little surprised when it first happened. I knew about the feature but assumed the original owner of the car had hooked up the kit to defeat it. Most people on this forum portray it as if you have to drive like you're Big Daddy Don Garlits for it to not kick in.

If I'm not mistaken, according to the 2011 owner's manual, skip shift should engage at 17mph or lower.

so your mustang GT CS edition only stickered for 32k? That sounds low to me but I have no idea what the pricing is for this package and what level of GT you can get it with. There are a lot of dealers selling the '11's at 300 over invoice or so...deals are certainly out there for this fine car that is a great value!!

Edit - I see you are driving a 2009 not a 2010.

It could have been dubbed in. I honetly don't think the sound between the 4.6 and 5.0 will be much different.

You really think they would to through that much trouble for a car review? I don't.

Yeah. I remember when I thought $18,000 was way too much money for a Mustang GT. Those were the days.

I like him. He's a "real world" reviewer, not some bought off shill.
