You know what's going to be really interesting? Seeing how many guys who modify their Mustangs decide to leave the OEM rear bumper cover in place instead of swapping it out for one of the many options sure to be available in the future.

Now to be fair, I've seen '05+ cars that with aftermarket rear bumper covers, but usually only when the car has a complete body kit. Most of the '05+ cars that have visual mods have the OEM bumper cover (whether GT, GT500, or CS). But for some reason, I'm thinking that the vast majority of guys will dump the diaper in favor of something a bit more appealing. Time will tell....

And I certainly hope that the vocal guys who claim to "love" the rear end as it is now will NOT be replacing their rear bumper cover with an aftermarket piece! LOL.

Why the hell would they?

Me personally, even if I didn't like the look, I'd leave it alone. I'm not a fan of mods.

And I certainly hope that the vocal guys who claim to "hate" the rear end as it is now will NOT be leaving their rear bumper cover stock! LOL.

I'm guessing that the first aftermarket supplier to come up with a nice rear diffuser design for the 2010 is going to make an absolute killing in the market. In other words, I expect to see MANY 2010 owners ditch their OEM rear bumper cover. I just hope I don't see anyone here do if after proclaiming how good the OEM piece looks!

I'm guessing that those who truly hate it will not buy the car. When I saw the official pics of the 2010, I ran right down to my local order and put in an order for a 2009 Mustang. Yes, I was THAT disappointed with the new styling. The rear bumper cover is one of my biggest complaints, but the taillights take a close second place. If it were just the bumper cover that bothered me, I'd most likely still want to buy a 2010, knowing that it will be easy to swap out as the aftermarket catches up with the 2010 model. But since it's multiple things that I don't like, I had to go with the '09 model that looks so **** good to me. In fact, the 2010 would have had to have been a homerun to sway me away from the current body style cars.
