Malfunctioning passenger door lock

Malfunctioning passenger door lock
I have a 2014 v6 and the electric passenger door lock stopped working as of yesterday.
For a few weeks it seemed like it was moving only partially and I'd have to lock/unlock with the keyfob around 5-6 times before it would unlock the passenger side enough to open the door.
Now it doesn't move at all electronically, and there's no sound coming from the mechanism either. Pulling the handle and pushing the top still unlocks/locks it.
Is there anything specific I can look at for this?

Ok, did a little digging, and it *appears*, according to what I can find at Tasca and other places, that this is integrated into the actual door lock mechanism.

That should get you the part number. If it's not working, then the entire lock assembly will need to be replaced, providing it's not wiring or some other piece such as the lock rod (the nub poking out of the top of the door panel) isn't binding it up. I bet it's the assembly total.
Either way, whatever the real issue, the only way to look at the issue is to pull the door panel and have a gander inside there.
Reminds me of my car's integrated lock situation on the trunk... the gears got shorn, the trunk wouldn't open with the fob, annoying. Only the entire module from Ford would fix and was available.
Worth it. My trunk works.
Good luck, hope that helps!
